I heard them announce that on the stream, but from what the cameras showed, there was nothing like that. The ground holds 48k?, there were people scattered around but huge numbers of empty seats. No way was the attendance 41k.
Season ticket holders who don’t turn up are counted, because their seat is ‘sold’. Just like the Emirates.

The Mackems are as fickle as any other bunch of fans.

Yes of course he isn't beyond criticism, but you said..."in Marti we trust....bollocks".
That implies that you don't think he's up to the job.
You're entitled to that opinion, but the results since he took over suggest otherwise and have been an incredible turnaround.
I think you and some others seem to think that our team of relegation threatened players should be winning every game. We are still a below average side and the championship is a ridiculously tough league.
There will be ups and downs till the end of the season and we may well get relegated, but in Marti, I do indeed trust.
Agree with this.

Also worth noting that if he got it right every game no matter who we were playing, then he probably wouldn't be managing us.

Dykes’ stats were ok in his first season. 12 goals and five assists in the league and he’s got steadily worse every year. Quite impressive in a way for a player in his prime.

How the League would look if it started on 1st January 2024 ...

Well that’s a **** performance. If Cifuentes was any good we’d be top with maximum points and a goal difference of + 123. Obviously. If you can’t make players who are clearly lower championship level standard and 8 points adrift of safety when you arrive and make them world class in a few weeks you can’t be taken seriously as a coach.

Plainly the Messiah.

No dissent tolerated.

I disagree.
I read at the time that people were describing Andersen's attempt as 'a sitter' and it really wasn't.
It would have been a brilliant finish if he'd pulled it off, but never a sitter imo.
Equally Willock's chance imo.
The ball was slightly behind him, meaning that he couldn't just pick his spot. A good save too.
I would suggest that Armstrong's finishing was the weakest, whilst I agree that he made a huge impact.
Armsttong has got to start against Birmingham. His finishing leaves alot of be desired but we need our scariest 11 to start that must win game. He will cause them enough problems while others can hopefully feed off him. Field has got to start too, still can't understand why he didn't start yesterday !

Don’t you think he is far better when he comes off the bench?

We were given the run around v Sunderland for our last two games v them at Loftus Road, and they banged three before us. So a 0-0 away from home is a marked improvement. I get that they we're missing players but the team look together, and playing for each other and considering the other results this is a good point. Onto the next game ...

I think he's more of a threat than Dykes, full stop. We look much more like scoring with him or Frey on the pitch than without them ! We have got to beat Birmingham, end of. In my eyes we're more likely to schieve that with him starting in place of Dykes. The Field option is a no brainer for me, and I'm still in shock he didn't start.

This wasn't the same Sunderland side that had beaten us convincingly before at HQ, they had all their top players out and had lost 6 on the bounce. We really should've been beating them, and even ElCif said he felt it was 2 points dropped !
