Form what I have read about her I’m pretty confident that this is the case, but she could be fooling everyone and have no beliefs and just does and says whatever she thinks will get her elected. In which case she’s a sociopath.

Very depressing programme on now about the spike in anti immigrant crime after the Brexit vote and how it hasn’t subsided to pre vote levels. In fact so depressing that I can’t watch it.

There are over 500,000 illegal immigrants in the U.K. and probably 1 million, according to the former head of the immigration service - the Home Office has declined to publish figures since 2001. He also says they are unlikely ever to be removed. More evidence of our own incompetence with dealing with our own borders. What difference will ‘taking back control’ make if we can’t act on what is in our control already?

I’ve just learned a new word ‘kakistocracy’. It literally means government by the worst and most unscrupulous people amongst us.

Now, if only I could find an appropriate subject to use it about.........

Davis - 'real and tangible progress'

Barnier - 'deadlock'

Meanwhile, a study by Rabobank suggests that a no-deal Brexit (which begins to look more and more likely) would cause an immediate recession, and by 2030 would have cost the UK £400billion and wiped 18% off GDP.

To be accurate Strolls the article says it would wipe 18% off GDP growth, which is a very different thing to wiping 18% off GDP. The headline is misleading. And it’s what the people voted for and can never be changed, ever, etc etc ad nauseum.

Yes of course, I stand corrected. The good news is that a 'soft' Brexit will be a much less serious economic disaster.

I listened to someone today who said the term 'deadlock' used by Barnier was not as bad as it sounds and the only people jumping on it would be the 'remoaners'. I also listened to some German bloke over the weekend who said it was essential for Britain to get a good deal otherwise it would be detrimental to Germany and other EU countries.
Question is who do I listen to? ......<laugh>
