I thought Henriksen was decent in the first 10-15 minutes. Linked up play, set up a chance with a nice through ball, was eager to get involved. Then a switch was flicked and he drifted out of the game completely. Doesn't strike me as a happy bunny.
Speaking of unhappy I wonder how Dio's feeling just now? Has one of his best games for us (Bolton), scores, then gets about 15 mins football since then.

It's a bollox excuse. Why is it only our internationals who are tired after every international break. Christ on a bike! Meyler and Irvine should be the first choice centre midfield pairing in this division. If Slutsky can't see this then he can **** off. Afraid I've not seen anything apart from his charm that makes me think he's a good choice.

I hate criticising players and I don't want to start here. If anyone should carry the can it has to be Slutsky..he has two very similar players in midfield Hendrickson and Larsson neither of them are creative. They are too the same...

Unless most of this forum spent their Saturdays going to Burton last season, I fail to see the basis of where the answer being Irvine is coming from.

He might turn out to be a handy player, but I'm pretty certain nobody on here other than Sydney has a ****ing clue how good he is or what he's about.

Good job, Henricksen didn't do the almighty **** up Meyler did towards the end of the game which let them in on goal, some on here would have been calling for blood - however it was Meyler so lets brush it under the carpet

Mistakes are mistakes. It's better if a player doesn't make mistakes, but they are errors, not the basis of a player.

Henrikson and Meyler are polar opposites in terms of effort, involvement and giving a ****.

Henrikson quite simply never wanted the ball, and actively avoided it.

Meyler was everywhere once he came on, constantly on the ball, trying to make things happen.

At this level, I'll take the limitations of Meyler (he can make mistakes as you say) every single time over the waste of space that Henrikson is. Meyler should be captain and starting every week, he's exactly what we need.

Most the Championship clubs seem to know who he is as most other clubs wished they had signed him.

He's an absolute fraud. You could see him literally hiding behind Sunderland players so that he couldn't receive a pass. Constantly got into positions that meant he couldn't receive the ball, or just pointed to other players who should've receiving a pass.

Genuinely disgraceful performance.

Kingsley just looks a bad player, but Henriksen is a disgrace. Hiding from the ball and not even making an effort off the ball either.

How does he get anywhere near the bench with that performance today?
That's how I saw it too. He didn't want to be there.and if slutski picks him there again then he will very soon be an ex manager

Henricksen is fast on the way to becoming one of the worst and ineffective midfield signings I remember - Olofinjana was gash, James Harper limited, Halmosi anonymous..

I can't say I've noticed the hiding from the ball thing, but it's concerning that so many other people have noticed it.

He doesn't do it. Some right bollocks being posted about him here. He was constantly pointing to receive the ball yesterday. If he is stood behind an opponent then he is wanting the ball in space ahead of him.

All this been in international duty is rubbish that was a couple of weeks ago, its the beginning of the season and everybody should be at peak fitness. Has for Irvine non of us have watched him on a regular basis so can't judge him but to score 11 goals for a poor Burton side last season and be player of the season then he must have something about him. The other big problem we have is playing one up front when we haven't got a proper target man. I won't go into other problems because we have a few but changing the central midfield and playing two up top would be a good start.

Centre mid just isn't his position Al.
I hope we can make a player out of him but I just don't see how he fits into a system.
