I want him back playing as soon as he is considered fit enough to stop all the speculative articles about Liverpool coming back in for him in January if he isn't reintegrated

I don't understand why the media are still beating this drum. They made no bid this window. They were waiting to be invited to. They were not invited to and will not be invited to in January

This should just be expected so that his every departure from the training ground throughout January isn't seized upon

Ideally there would be s statement of acceptance that there will be move at all this season.

As an aside where are all these players coming up with only having eyes for Liverpool. Lemar, Ox and Virgil. They were last good before these players were born. And haven't won anything of note for ages compared to the clubs in Manchester, London and other countries.

And they are apparently turning down higher wages and the chance to live in London over Liverpool . Confuses me quite a lot.

On the sentiment of your post, I agree Gregm88. There is the small detail of the Champions League win, but you're right. I suspect that there are big positive noises about Klipp Klopp, hence the sheep want to head northwest. These are players who don't consider themselves worthy of Guardiola, and Pochettino's barn is full and actually still hasn't won anything anyway. Koeman.? Not yet. The Count at Chelsea is still too new.

Nope. January is no good. That says nothing about resolve of a club wanting to keep their best players. Besides which, the players will welcome him back. Don't worry yourself about what's fair. You're looking at it completely from the outside and not getting the right perspective.
Think of it this way. The inclusion of VVD means that the team has a greater chance of winning. So the players get a bigger chance of a win bonus, so that's playing into their selfish gene.
Maybe. But I'm sure I read a stat somewhere which showed our goals against was very similar when he played and when he didn't play.

Not everyone wants to live there , it is for me , way to busy , each to their own though .

For half of these players they are in positions Liverpool are well stocked for. I know players "back themselves" but they need to think more clearly sometimes

Any central defender will be horribly exposed at Liverpool. Lovren did not become a bad player overnight

As for the manager options - with Chelsea it is not worth signing for a manager.

If he was just a damn fine CB then perhaps I might agree. But he is two or three players. He goes where others can't. We play much higher up the pitch because of his presence. Mere goals against stats can't tell you the subtleties.

Yes your point about Chelsea is true.

Well, at the other end we weren't exactly scoring freely when he was playing. But I know what you mean.

Van Dijk will most likely apologise to his team mates behind closed doors. Don't want one from him publicly as we all know it would be a lie. He will get his fitness up and play in a few weeks time. No way he will sit out. If he has any sense like Morgan did he'll knuckle down and have a great season, getting a move the following Summer.

Lie or not, I think he does owe the fans a public apology, or at least a statement to the effect that he intends to behave like a professional in future.
