Assuming Holland qualify for the World Cup. And that's a big assumption. If Pellegrino is happy to start him in the PL, then I'm fine with it. I'll trust his judgement. Based on tonight that's a long way off but "letting him rot" is not beneficial for anyone, including the fans.

Has he even come out and actually said " sorry" to the club ,fans etc for being a complete and utter twat. Until then he can rot as far as I'm concerned, and even then he will never win back any respect he lost from many fans and people connected to SFC.

if he really can't be ****ed and doesn't change his attitude then we definitely should've sold him

We didn't sell him so we could make a point about player power etc, regardless of his attitude. His attitude will hopefully change over time...

Back from watching the game live.
VVD appears to be carrying extra timber but not surprised after 8 months, this slowed him down a little but he really didn't get out of second gear but he wasn't really pressed.
He was very vocal and was trying hard to Marshall the team.
He dominated in the air and his distribution was very good. Some nice 50m diagonal balls to the wingers.
I wouldn't have said he wasn't trying at all regardless of what it may have looked like in the snippets of the goals
