People seem to be missing the fact that the club agreed a deal with Leicester. It wasn't us that stuffed this deal up.
Can only think it must have been wages and we decided it was too big a risk with him only netting once in seventeen game last season.
This is my point. Almost everyone on here has been criticising him, so I don't see how he can be called over-rated. The vast majority of comments on him are negative. I agree he's come across as a bit of a dick, but frankly we need him.
Most of what I have seen on social media rate him and think him staying with us is a real plus, as I do. He just has to now show that he has more good games than bad.
People criticising his attitude not his ability , I think that's fair , he appears to turn it on if he feels like it
Some comments last night were embarrassing. One spotty little tit threatening to cut people up and another hoping Ehab crashed on the way home. This is about football FFS. Now we have the hate squad out for Grosicki who is no more than a daft lad who's getting over-excited about being a star before he learns the ropes. He has the ability to be a good footballer, but he's still acclimatising to the English game in the same way Henriksen is.
His ability in this league is second to none......when he wants it to be, his big fish small pond/hint at every opportunity I can that I'm fishing for a move is what people have issue with, they fans and now players are seeing this and commenting, He is not a well liked person by his fellow pros at the club either
Agreed, if he put in the effort and performance he did in the last game, every game then fair enough! Just imagine his ego if he did though haha
Whilst I appreciate that the Musa thing might well have been down to his personal choices, the Success opportunity and perhaps others was still there. What I was getting at was that whilst the singings that we have made have raised everyones spirits, a bigger signing that might have self financed (other than loan arranged fee) through gate recepits and table position. The fact they put all their eggs in the Musa basket still leaves us light.
I've seen plenty of conjecture about Grosicki wanting to leave, reading into cryptic tweets, analysing body language during goal celebrations. I haven't seen anywhere he himself saying he wants to go or that he is trying to leave. We seem to have built a persona up around Grosicki from what we have deciphered, but it's based on nothing really and I think the lad is one of those players who doesn't have to try hard to be good, he just is. His playing style makes him look lazier than he is, but I wouldn't describe somebody who ran nearly half the length of the pitch and scored as 'lazy'. This effort over quality thing really gets on my tits, but it isn't like he doesn't put any effort in, plenty of times I've seen him break up play on the edge of our area, he did it more than once against Bolton. Ideally you want players who have both but having effort and no quality isn't going to win you any games, having quality and no effort at least gives you a chance.
Do you think, maybe, it's a tiny bit possible that with all the doom and gloom about players leaving and then it subsequently coming out that there was a gentlemen's agreement in place for him to leave (which is non-contractual and probably bollocks) it's sort of warped people's view on him personally? Some on here seem quite aggrieved at his situation, they're making him out to be some sort of arrogant prick who thinks he's better than the club. I haven't seen anything to suggest that's the case. I'll gladly take some proof if it'll prove me wrong.
