Husband is only 23 and has only played 35 games in this league, so it seems early days to judge him. Players don't play on their own, they interact with those around them. Josh was excellent getting forward, but how often did he get back to support Husband when the ball was lost? The same could be asked of Speidermann.

Quicker than any man

More words extolling the need to have PATIENCE as opposed to sacking DF and his coaching staff - http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...-which-are-elusive-after-days-like-yesterday/
"I’m simply asking for calm and a shift of thinking. Vendettas against the same players have continued, message-boards are flooded with negativity following a defeat and radio phone-ins seem as disillusioned as ever. We are all better as one, and whilst I accept this is an impossible task, we have to attempt to create an overriding feeling of positivity.
Yet booing at home in the debut game of the campaign is moronic and belittling chances of victory on release of a team-sheet is equally depressing. This was supposed to be a brand new era, wasn’t it? Yet the fractures are still evident, and that’s also true of City’s fragmented defence.
Supporters can dream but this frenetic league will see Norwich defeat impressive opponents and fall on the sword to teams that less adroit. This is a project and, whilst I understand watching a team grow and develop is time consuming and difficult to grasp, it can be rewarding.
Lambert’s teams of 2009 through to 2012 powered through the leagues and were my greatest years of supporting this club. What was achieved was something we won’t see for a while, if ever. But this gelling period is natural and expected. I know it’s uncomfortable and perplexing but go with it, give it 15-20 games and revaluate.

I’m sure it’ll all be okay. The ingredients are on the table."

Do we know that for sure? It's his first Manager job. The players bought in don't look great.

Obviously I'm not already calling for him to be sacked, and I'm not ruling him out as a good manager. I don't however buy into to: "He's from Dortmund youth team, so he will be a world class manager" 2 others have managed to do it, doesn't mean every one will. I'd say I am on the fence, but the start to the season has really worried me. He says everything a fan wants to hear. But I think Alex Neil did as well. I loved how he talked about everything.

I really hope he starts to turn it around. My confidence in him so far is down to about 60% at the moment.

IMO, the players are going to need time to adapt and whilst they are professionals, I expect the imports from Germany aren't used to playing 3 games in 7 days. I'm hoping that some of the first team regulars will be rested on Tuesday, so that they are fresh for our trip to the Den.

That's good FML, as it's higher than I expected.

Like with AN, I want him to do well. He says the right things. Just depends how results and performances go.

I just felt not only were key players dropped, but it was really concerning that the only ball winning player in the team was Reed. Especially with how bad our defence has been. It looked very lightweight. Especially for away at a Steve Bruce side.
Excellent post FML. <applause>
Edit - I'm looking forward to going to the Brum game, as DF and his staff will have had more time to work with the squad and we'll have had the international break so that Pinto can be nearer full fitness. I'm expecting BIG improvements over the Sunderland game!!!

If you drop both Wes and Maddison, with Pritchard out long term, just where the hell is any creativity supposed to come from. And don't say Steven bloody Naismith or you'll be seeing the men in white coats knock at your door. <grr>

If this current trend of conceding 2 goals every game continues then we need to score at least 2 or 3 get any points .
This pass sideways football pressing high up the pitch makes it easy for the opposition to simply punt a long ball over the top and score.
Add to that constant unforced errors and sloppy back passes .
I don't think we have good enough players to attempt the Dortmund approach.
Meanwhile Mick Mccarthy is getting results with his meat n two veg approach.

We need to strike a balance of pretty football but with an end result.

Also harping on about being forced to play Martin and husband points to a thin squad and naive hopeful management.
We need 2 competent full backs at the moment Pinto is the only one good enough and another centre back that can cope with a 19 year old boy bullying them like at Villa.

We're only 4 games in, and to be fair, McCarthy has been at Ipswich nearly 5 years. Hasn't exactly happened overnight.
