Not sure he's raised his game either, he won stuff there, since turning up at your gaff he's lost 2 cup finals and a semi to your feeder club who you plunder every summer.

142 pages? What's happening? Fats told me about three weeks ago (in possibly the biggest spoiler of the summer) that Virgil was throwing his toys out of the pram in a bid to be demoted to the bin-dippers. Can't be bothered to read it all so what's the gist?

There is another possibility. We loan VD out!

I want him in our team and playing his best, but if that's not going to happen we Shouldn't have any need to sell for less than our valuation, or to pay him to sit on his arse and look moody!

If there really are CL clubs who are interested but not enough to buy yet, we do a loan deal. It's the best of a bad situation - keeps him in the shop window with a real incentive to play well, has the potential to up his value if he does well, and saves us paying the wages.
