Webber summed the situation up very succinctly when he took over. We did not have a single first team, natural, leftback on our books who was available to play for us. On loan Dijks was the only option. A totally ludicrous situation to get into. But, hey, we bought Wildschut.
Some on here suggested that selling 2 of the best left backs in the division at the same time was quite foolhardy especially after Dijks petulant rash ridiculous red card and subsequent suspension leaving us with no left backs.
Not 100% sure of the thinking behind loaning Carlton Morris out, then signing Fonkeu and possibly the lad from Leyton Orient Tristan Abrahams. The prospect of Vrancic and Reed re-igniting midfield (it was getting a little predictable with Howson and Dorrans most weeks) is one of the highlights of the new season for me. Plus hopefully seeing a defensive unit which has learned to communicate and operate together, rather than 4 individuals. We've not had that for quite some time.
2 robotic German units repelling attacks with efficiency and Gunny 2 should give us an extra 20 odd points.
A rather light hearted look at the forthcoming season from 'Supers' - http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...201718-is-going-to-pan-out-possibly-part-one/
How nice to hear the voice of reason! My faith in humanity has been restored after reading this - or at least it would be if Sky, ESPN, BT Sport etc took any bloody notice http://www.bournemouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=498562 (p.s If anyone manages to locate a stream for our game today, I'm all ears )
And now for part 2 - http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...ow-201718-is-going-to-pan…-possibly-part-two/
I see Charlton (Athletic ) managed to bounce back from the defeat inflicted on them by NCFC only a couple of days ago http://www.greenun24.co.uk/ipswich-...ion-to-pre-season-as-blues-thrashed-1-5127279
Manchester City are back on Uefa's financial fair play watch list after a £220m spending spree this summer. (Sunday Telegraph) Barcelona will report Paris St-Germain for a breach of Uefa's financial fair play rules if the French side meet Neymar's 220m euros (£197m) buyout clause. (ESPN) FINALLY! I thought they had just done away with that rule in football.
Well done Lionesses, beaten France to make the Euro semi finals. Are they becoming the new Germany, always finding a way to win and breaking other teams hearts in the process. Roll on the Netherlands.

At least they're achieving something, however, it's a democracy so you don't have to watch, watch some paint dry instead.
NO, NO, NO - thrice no!!! http://readnorwich.com/2017/07/30/efete-future-decided-soon-aldershot-boss/
Surely it would only be a loan? It makes no sense to move him out permanently until we've had a good look at him in the first team!
It would make sense to our club. I wouldn't put it past them. Going on past experiences. He's one of those ones who will move on a free, and later move back to the Championship for a million or so.
