And so say all of us.
Alex Neil must have seen something having signed them for a combined £16m - let's hope the rest of us do from next Saturday onwards <ok>

Watching a re-run of the Man City Vs R Madrid game. Interesting kit choice for City. Kind of maroon color. Not sure if I like it or hate it yet.

Hopefully Boro have dropped interest in Jerome as they are in talks with Ashley Fletcher for 7-8M

    Jesus!

If AC Milan don't win the League, Champions League or both, I'll be surprised. It's like they have entered a cheat into a game.

Just did a random quiz in aid of air ambulance in my local.
Bizarre questions like who will be the 1st PL manager to get sacked / walk away?
Will Sheff Utd finish top 6?
Who will finish bottom of PL?
Who will win FA cup / league cup.
Who will win league 1 (I put Portsmouth, but don't ask me why <yikes>)
Apparently last year's winner(s) only got 12 out of 21 correct and still collected £150 <ok>

Nice to see Calvet-Lewin starting for Everton tonight after his performances for England U21's this summer. Really looking forward to watching Everton this season, with their signings and their youth policy.

Klassen looks really good. I think he's going to really shine this season. (if injury free). He just seems so comfortable, his touch and technique is incredible. His passing is very solid. He has impressed me so far.

Can't argue with this appraisal of our chances/hopes from today's MFW - "The decisions made so far on and off the pitch have been met with approval by the fans and media, and optimism is high. The expectation is that we may struggle initially as we adapt to a host of new players and to Farke’s system but improve over the course of the season. I’d be happy with that personally but I’m enjoying the thought of an unexpected journey also.
My guess? We’ll do well, and we’ll have a crack at the Play-Offs once more."
Read all about it - http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...the-money-no-object-wolves-via-the-fine-city/

I guess, if I'm being honest, I do feel we will struggle initially and I'll be happy if we can amass a few points by this time next month, as we have some tough opening games.

    Poles apart or what?? :emoticon-0112-wonde
You'd never guess both clubs were in the same country / division :(

I'm starting to side with our departed (?) laureate on this, what the hell's the point busting a gut to get promoted when 16 / 17 of the clubs you'll be facing can wave cheques for £30/40/50/60/70 million around and you know you can't (like us, Brighton, Huddersfield etc)? It can only end badly <doh>

The point is if you spend it wisely and yoyo a bit, you should eventually be able to bridge the gap and stay up. Then if you stay long enough the PL income will allow you to build and hit the £15m transfer zone. Each season increasing your quality, OK it looks unrealistic aiming for anything more than 7-8th. Becoming a PL club and being there for a decade is not impossible for a club like us now in my opinion, but if more time passes and more rich backers come into the championship it will be very soon.

We were being touted with some pretty darn good players durig the 3 year stint in the PL, we were close to bridging that gap. had we bought better when we did stretch our budget then it all could have been so different. Oh for a good centre back or two instead of Naismith, RvW, Wildshutt Or even much as I think he's a cracking player Pritchard.

We are a good manager and joined up transfer policy away from another crack at getting to and establishing ourselves in the PL. Do we have them? Not sure, but I am cautiously optimistic that we do!

    Bah!

Let's hope so. But the divide between the 'haves' and the 'have nots' widens every season, and that is of ongoing concern - I can see the PL becoming a 12 or 14 club hierarchy in the not too distant future, with no relegation or promotion - a closed shop based on ££ solely.
And as a self-financing little old "family" club headed by a semi-retired TV cook, I don't suppose we'd qualify :(
Virgil van Dyke was on the NCFC radar not that long ago - and look at how much his valuation is nowadays <yikes>

Well General I think your last paragraph sums it all up and I feel that had AN not hit the 'panic button' after our trouncing at SJP in 2015 and of he'd spent the Naismith money on a decent CB instead, we COULD have stayed up, but the rest is history.
I'm looking forward to the forthcoming season and I'm hopeful that we'll be in or near the play-off places come May, but they're are some very strong teams in the Championship.
One thing of which I'm certain - DF won't allow the players to think they can simply turn up and keep their place in the starting 11 - they will have to play for their place each week and I'd he amazed if we see any 'teacher's pets!!!'

He bought Klose in that window JMF, but I agree the Naismith purchase was not needed, that money could have been spent more productively.

Like another CB to play alongside Klose instead of Martin.

Losing Olsson and Brady, and playing Whitaker and Martin alternately at LB because your only semi-orthodox LB is on a season long loan at Scunthorpe was not the sharpest manoeuvre the club have ever made <doh>
You'd like to think with the new recruitment team in place, incidents as ludicrous as that are a thing of the past <ok>
