No cure for me.

Other than not drinking over 3 pints!

I don't drink too much anymore primarily because I cannot bear the hangover.

Also because its savage when you're trying to look after yourself - lager that is and that's pretty much all i drink.
If you are over 6 ft and under 12 stone you don't need to lose weight you just need some self esteem or you are butters ugly ?

The guys at your local gym would be very interested in discussing your views with you. I'd suggest you pop down there tonight and express your take on their sexuality.

Toning up really now for me.

I am pretty slim - just the remnants of a beer belly and slight handles.

I was 14 stone 10lb this time last year.

Need to put muscle on really.

When I was about 11 and a half stone I still had moobs and a bit of a belly. Rest of me was taut and tight but the moobs and belly never leave me. It's all down to body type.

But fat is also fat and that can generally be replaced by muscle.

Most if the true strong men have flab over their muscle. The Mr. Universe men starve themselves for a few weeks to get rid of the flab before a competition. The rest of the time they've got some chub like the rest of the strong men.

Most people when healthy (even if full of muscle) will have fat deposits on their body.

The photos you see of people with perfect abs, etc online and on magazine covers are sucking in their guts. If you're 12 stone and over 6ft you're not fat, you just have normal healthy fat deposits like the rest of the healthy population.

To gain muscle you have to take in an excess of calories as well as exercise. No body is 100% efficient in turning calorie into muscle. If you're taking in the extra calories to gain muscle you gain some fat too.

You can never generalise because everybody is different.

I would say that 12st at 6 ft you don't want to be any lighter. But a lot depends on your frame. If you have a large frame, you're underweight at 12st. If you have a small frame, you're probably about right.

As to the guys you see 'adorning' the front pages of some of these mags, or advertising supplements, the first word that springs to my mind when I see them is Steroids! I still see them in the gym occasionally. As soon as you see them you knows they're on 'roids'

2500m hard and fast row.

Five mile run and then some kettlebell and sand bag core move things. Not really arsed to do any weights tonight.

Back on the ****er.

Am going tomorrow morning, half six start. Hopefully that's a better bet a couple of times a week.
