Honestly don't know. Maybe there's an attacking (or at least aggressively counterattacking?) manager in there waiting to come out, or maybe they don't feel that the lack of goals was the primary cause of unrest.

In simple terms, it is difficult to see how Pellegrino would be an upgrade on Claude: Claude finished 8th, reached the League Cup final and we scored 41 goals, playing some pretty negative football. Pellegrino finished 9th, reached the Copa Del Rey final and scored 41 goals, playing some pretty defensive football. Am I missing anything, but he has only had one season in Spain so difficult to judge. Good name though.
If VVD stays we'd have the lines 'He's Jaap Stam's man, He's better than Jaap astam' In his song. Catchy!
This seems to me to be what others mentioned earlier . 2 known names Tuchel and De Boer , and we end up getting an unknown .
Not sure how they could have come away with that conclusion. I'm all for playing as a solid defensive unit personally, I think it's a much underrated quality that went a long way towards securing Chelsea the title last season. However, without goals for, the tactic falls down a little. A cautious 0-0 at home to Swansea in August and I can already hear our "fans" getting restless. Maybe we're getting Costa and Hazard as well as a new manager?
Be interesting to work out how many 1-0 results we had under Koeman. Gut feeling is that we had a lot. That and 0-1 results. Then there were a few 4, 5 & 8 goals fest to keep it exciting.
Absolutely. I said many times when defending Claude, that a lot of the football under Koeman wasn't that great, but there were goals. Take Pelle and Mane out of that side, and we'd have really struggled at times.
I can distinctly remember a run of 4 or 5 games last season when we couldn't score to save our lives.
Go and get Pellegrini. They spoke to him before taking Puel,if they don't get this appointment right surely their fantastic black box will become nothing but a media joke. I want Pellegrini!
I agree . All managerial appointments are important , but this one, to me , seems more so . Perhaps the takeover is proving to be a major stumbling block in negotiations ? Who would want to come here, if he thought the new owners would want their own man ? Unless the new owners have already given assurances on that front.
