Few saints journo's claiming that we considered Tuchel but he didn't make the shortlist. Sounds like bullshit to me, us trying to save face. If he was available then we would be mugs not to have him as target no.1!

The information I have been given is that Tuchel was never on the list. Nor the German Schmitt (or what ever his name was that went to china)
Anyone living in the new forest area should start to keep an eye out I gather. I also gather a meeting has already been held with someone out Shedfield way the other side of Botley at a hotel that has a golf course attached. I am also told to look out for a surprise in who is being interviewed for the job. I know I am only adding to the speculation and I haven't the slightest clue as to who, but thought I would add my little bit......

Well it would make sense, we need a manager which is going to hit it off straite away.

It all makes sense now. Conte is quitting Chelsea, to join the mighty Saints! ;-)

I live up the road from that hotel with a golf course so I shall keep my eyes peeled.

Fair enough, I'm doing that thing people often do, which is to assume a great player will transform into a great manager. The truth, which I should have remembered, is that it very rarely works that way.
