I mean morally it's abhorrent, but as long as the Yanks and Japanese still come...

What's the problem with the monarchy? I don't get it. They're great for our national perception, they do all sorts of fantastic charity work, and it's been proven time and time again that they are worth mega money to our economy. I really don't see why anyone has a problem with it.

If I understand Charon correctly you can do precisely that. Nationalise the profitable industries like gas and electric, means test any compensation paid, employ more British workers than are "needed", pay them a decent wage and use the profits to help fund the NHS. The wealthy will be worse off whilst the workers will be better off. Problem solved.

I don't know how old you are, but I am old enough to remember when the utility companies were nationalised. They were over manned, inefficient and totally controlled by the unions. There were more strikes and power cuts then than we ever have today. What you have said on paper seems the perfect solution, in reality it just doesn't work.

Ah, so some of those papers just print their angle to get the desired rise - I get it.

Papers are a free press it's not their job to be impartial. Whoever owns them controls the content. Never believe anything you read in a paper as being the truth of the issue without further investigation.

Good call mate - shame everyone doesn't know that.

I object to people of no worth, other than parentage, being entitled to a privileged position paid for by the UK tax payer. And how did families get to such a position throughout history? Preominantly through ruthless bloodshed. And then, the cheeky bitch charges us to go into a house that we've paid for and let her live in rent free.

As for the money and heritage, Paris is the most visited city in the world. What is their most celebrated national day about again?

The energy companies don't even do any of the production. They just do this weird wooden dollar trading and come up with tarrifs. If you switch provider you get the exact same energy down the exact same part of the network. Those companies are parasites.
