Do we have a game next week?
No but we don't have a manager or any coaches at present. And we still have one of the Chuckle brothers in charge of negotiations

Relegation clauses in players contracts have 2 major elements:
1) a reduction in wages to protect the club
2) a buy-out clause which protects the player
If a club insists on a relegation clause then it's only fair the player has a reasonably priced buy-out clause.
It hasn't been confirmed in the slightest.
Maybe we need to be a bit better in our negotiating, Diame had a low release clause as well. It's bonkers having a clause in for less than we bought Davies for.

All I'm saying is he clearly knew he was down the pecking order here. As he himself said, he could have stayed here for added security, and presumably would have had a decent role in the team this season, but wanted a secure role for longer term. Derby presumably have given him that guarantee. With us, if we'd gone up again he wouldn't have had that. The end.
The Yorkshire Post might as well be City's official website these days. If it's on there it's from the club.

You've literally just said what I was saying all morning...
Yes I know. But it hasn't been confirmed by the club.
There's not even a discussion here.
I didn't even mean to post that. I changed my mind and deleted it, but this site always remembers half written posts and brings them back up when you post on that thread again.

Which is why I found it weird you made your "12 players" comment as I did think we were in agreement on this.
I don't think it went well at Newcastle with Kinnear/Wise etc.I'm actually struggling to think of one where it's caused issues. In fact the bigger issues for a while were at places like Man City/Chelsea/Spurs even where players were signed and then the manager blamed. The opposite seemed the problem at Swansea for instance where the Board wanted to implement one to help Monk and he didn't want one.

That excuse is used by many on here, if in doubt blame it on an iPad.I didn't even mean to post that. I changed my mind and deleted it, but this site always remembers half written posts and brings them back up when you post on that thread again.
Is it? Do they ever work anywhere? Always seems like a way to undermine the manager and still blame him when it goes wrong.
I agree, not a fan of dof's. If you can't trust a manager to manage, then he shouldn't be there in the first place imo.
