The idea that there's a decent percentage of people would go through the ignominy of visiting a food bank without a genuine need seems unlikely to me.

It's funny, if I said it was immoral that poverty had increased and wages had stagnated you'd accuse me of being too irrational, emotional and naive when it comes to politics. If I use hard economics you accuse me of being a pseudo-intellectual, which is the typical right-wing baby boomer response to any young person's opinion on politics and economics - condescension based on some odd notion that because you've lived longer you're more knowledgable.

Real wages have stagnated compared to standard of living in the UK, that's just a fact.
