And just as quickly distanced themselves saying its untrue and they're not looking at him because they have those three and the new boss has been given a remit to bring youth through. More media bullshit.

As for the Lazio player, like every player linked with us, I iust ignore until they sign or we bid for them. Until that point all media bullshit for me.

Alot of newspaper talk we are prepared to pay £30M for Gylfi Siguardsson.

Spuds and Everton are interested but they wont pay more then £25M

I would love us to sign him. I say pay the £30M and get him in

Problem isn't the initial fee, it is his wages - is demanding around £120k p/w which would make him our top earner and would have to deal with other players demaning parity which could get us into trouble with FFP.

FFP will only be an issue if we weren't living within our means but we have way more coming in than going out so that ain't gonna be a problem.

I'd say meet him half way and done deal.

In fact £100k/week plus a healthy assist and goal bonus, say £10k each would be peanuts in the scheme of things and won't mean him getting paid more than anyone else.

Everton pay Lukaku £90k and he's their highest earner so they ain't paying more than that and pissing off Lukaku. We've got more money than Everton and that's fact because we're worth more than them now and we have no debt.

The days of us not being able to compete financially are over and now we can pay more than clubs like Everton and Spurs. If that's not a sign that this football club is progressing into a top club I don't know what is? I'll say it again just because it amuses me, WE pay MORE than EVERTON and SPURS, two traditionally huge clubs but little old Leicester can outbid them. Love it

Everton offered Lukaku £140k p/w which he rejected because he wants to move on - rumours have it that Everton are interested in Vardy to replace him.

We are linked with Sam Johnstone from Man Utd as a replacement for Zieler.

I like the idea of this, someone young who is happy being understudy and wait for his chance in the future.

I also like the fact that we're still looking at the same sort of players post Walsh, tells me the recruitment model he built is now a part of the clubs structure.

Has anyone seen the passing on Hoedt? If not check him out on YouTube, he's amazing and for our style of play he'd give us another attacking edge because he can ping it forward or out wide with precision so as soon as he gets in our wingers and Vardy would be on their bikes for him to pick out. For only £9m this lad would be an absolute steal.

Hopefully also Mbodji from Anderlecht who looks a beast, he's big, strong, fast and great in the air in both boxes. He properly attacks the ball Walshy style.

Plus Sigurdsson who is supposedly holding out for Arsenal or Chelsea and neither of them will come knocking so I fancy us over Everton because we can pay more. It's well documented that we've been keen on him for a couple of windows at least now so I'd be quite surprised if we don't finally land him now.

We are linked with Mathieu Debuchy from Arsenal - could do with another RB but an injury prone 31yr old is not what is needed imo.

Would rather sign the young lad from Luton, James Justin. I love £400k signings, they excite me!

Can't see that being more than the media putting some bullshit together.

Yeah I'm with you there definitely. Simmo was our best defender last season and I like him. Sure he has his limitations going forward but he's a decent defender and will be even better with Albrighton in front of him.

Right back and keeper we need younger lads happy to be on the bench and develop themselves into the first XI.

I'm in favour of young players if we give them a chance. Clearly we do need a few ready for the first team, ideally players like Glyfi Siggurdson and Adrian Silva (would love those two)

I cant see us signing a midfielder

Drinkwater, Ndidi, King, Amartey, Mendy, James

    More then enough competition

I was thinking that too but when you look at those players, who is actually good enough to replace Drinky? King is useless and literally does nothing. Amartey does a slightly better job but certainly doesn't control the midfield and doesn't have the passing range. Mendy we've not seen enough of and his stats suggest he can pass but again doesn't look like he'd control a game so that leaves James, who out of the lot i'm the most hopeful of being able to slot in next to Ndidi but we'll have to see. If not then we need someone like Silva.

There is competition ... but not the control, guile, subtlety, passing range and dead ball threat that a Siggurdsson would bring ... could see Kingy moving on to an ambitious Championship club like Vila or Leeds

Its almost a straight swap with Mahrez. Would like to think we could get Siguardsson in early, allowing us to offload Mahrez with no hassle of trying to replace him once he leaves.

They would be mental to think Vardy would be a straight replacement for Lukaku, totally different strikers <laugh>

I dont see Vardy leaving, hes not going to get better wages elsewhere (Everton wont offer Vardy £140k a week) and hes guaranteed more game time with us, which will keep him in the England mix.

Siguardsson wont go into the midfield though. He will play just off the striker. I would buy Siguardsson regardless if Mahrez stays or goes

Agreed - we looked very one dimensional at times last seasom and he would give us many more options - fabulous player - was on my wish list at the start of last season <ok>

We are looking to buy Sigurdsson as well as Mahrez not instead of.

We won't drop our asking price nor should we and both will be Leicester players come the end of the window.

I don't think Everton can compete with us financially so don't see them
    standing in our way.
