We are linked with Tammy Abraham from Chelsea - a big 19yo striker who scored 23 goals for Bristol last season.

Stuttgart want Zeiler and looks like we've missed out on Bruma to RB Leipzig.

I'm a big fan of Slimani but I judge him on his strengths and attributes while understanding he's being asked to play a role that doesn't suit him because he's also the type of striker who plays on the last defender and he relies on early balls in to the box. We're asking him to do all the donkey work that Okazaki does and criticising him because he's not good at it. He's a no.9 being asked to play like a no.10 and people need to understand that.

No he's not got the best first touch but anyone who plays will know that a poor first touch and indecision on the ball are often down to lack of confidence and sharpness and he's not going to be all that confident and definitely not sharp.

Fact is without his goals we would have been bottom of the league before CR was sacked and if you do the maths that's what you'll discover.

He's a quality goal scorer and gives us an aerial threat and is the best header of a ball in the league in my opinion with nobody coming close.

He needs a proper preseason, some more quality around him and time to develop a partnership with Vardy, injury free because we've by no means seen the best of him yet.

I agree with you ... I'm a fan ... get the ball in the right place and the guy is a real goal threat ..<ok>

Sporting refused to let him go and made us meet his minimum fee of €45M - with the exchange rate buggered, doubt we can afford that now.

... we can afford it ... our owner is a billionaire ... but we won't pay the daft prices that the top 3 clubs will be paying - that's for sure <ok>

I can't say too much because nothing has been announced yet but put it this way, our owners are looking at City and Chelsea and thinking "why not us?". They've honestly got absoutely massive plans and if they're going to achieve them then this summer is going to be very exciting. They're unbelievably ambitious and I'll happily put all I have on them achieving their goals and in 10 years time LCFC will be a very very different club. This CL experience has left them wanting more and we'll play CL football again.

Good to hear that they are putting that much commitment into the club, their investment sofar has been solid and long term, like the training facilities and youth development, not that i thought they were looking to flip it like Mandaric anyway...

Surely its going to be doing them a great deal of business in Thailand too.

There are a lot of reports about Mahrez to Arsenal for £35M now Wenger has signed a new deal.

Also Vardy is linked with Liverpool and we are linked with Joe Hart.

The Vardy link to Liverpool appears to be just Leon Osman commenting that he is just what they need ...

Always saw Arsenal as the most likely destination for Riyad Mahrez should he stay in the EPL (given French connections) ... much prefer if he goes to Monaco or PSG if he leaves <ok>

Kaspar going for Joe Hart coming in? ... fair enough if we get close to £30m for Kaspar ...

I prefer Kasper over Hart tbh but could do worse if he leaves.

As Man City are going to bring in some Portuguese kid for £45M and De Gea looks like staying, Kasper could be around for a while longer.

Lets hope this is the case, you'd certainly say that the Man City link is out now. Still too early in the window to say for certain if he won't leave though.

Would have liked Begovic in, but we've acted too late on that one, or more likely, not acted at all on it.

Really rate him - really hope Kasper stays now...

Problem is that no one wants to join us while the manager situation is up in the air - owners need to set that straight asap.

We know Ulloa and Mahrez want to leave

There is interest in Morgan, Vardy, Gray and Schmeichel

Taking sentiment out we should be looking to get rid of Okazaki, King, Benalouane, Zieler, Hamer, Musa and Slimani

I cant see us clearing that many out though

West Ham were interested in Benny, half a dozen or so German clubs are linked with Zieler and Sporting want Slimani back for half of what we bought him for.

Personally I'd keep Okazaki, King, Hamer and Slimani as squad players at the very least.

Sadly I think King is done, he never does anything he's just anonymous and now we have James back, he'd be after Drinky, James, Amartey and Mendy if all fit.

Okazaki definitely keep and I don't see him leaving and we need to keep Slimani too but we should play him off the bench to come on for Vardy so he plays as a no.9 and we change our attack accordingly. He gives us an aerial threat and he scores and creates goals. I reckon fit he's worth 15 goals easy.

Zieler get rid along with Musa.

Barcelona have allegedly joined the hunt for Mahrez and we are linked with Lazio CB Wesley Hoedt
