Just had a text from my Liverpool supporting mate, "Just think if Southampton do the decent thing and let Liverpool win today then we will be an even more attractive destination for Southampton players as we will have Champions League football" Another one said how he wouldn't want Bertrand as he will be the new Clyne, best ever player for a **** insignificant club like ours but bang average at the mighty Liverpool. I really haven't cared less about the last 5 games or so as the season effectively ended for me after the League Cup final but I really hope we win today.
BBC: Saints get the ball rolling - and boot the ball straight out of play from the kick-off. Fred in Row A is caught unaware and has his glasses knocked off by the wayward pass. Not a great start for Saints or that fella.
Phew! First hotel not showing it... second one was!!! *despite me phoning and asking this morning!! Come on Saints!!!
Liverpool pressing us really hard. Finding it difficult to retain possession which isn't really surprising.
Romeu gets a lot of plaudits here, but what stands out the most from him in the last couple of matches are his misplaced passes.
I'm not really sure they're causing problems. Yes they're pressing, but when they get it, they don't do a lot with it. So far, reminds me of the second leg. *hope I've not jinxed things.
