Can't think why he wouldn't can you.

I mean he can build the extension we need to make it a 40.000 capacity. Keep tickets to a tenner a go.
Give back the airco.
Allow local clubs to use facilities for **** all. Spend a fortune maintaining an aging stadium.
Build our own training complex too, again he's got a construction company, so he can do it cheap and not take a profit.

Then get called to **** when we lose a few games.

What an opportunity.

Pathetic attitude again. Implying that owners get stick regardless of what they do. You know that's bollocks and you've only written it to deflect attention from the obvious and clear reasons why the Allams get stick and ignoring the fact that previous owners didn't.

Your bitterness clouds your judgement.
If you believe all the ****e the local rags prints without pausing for a second to question it then more fool you.

Ah yes because the local media are all nasty anti-Allam types too. The only good guys are the Allams. Everyone whose fallen foul of them deserves it in some way. ****ing sad.

So, you think the HDM made up the name change, the closure of the Airco to the community, the removal of concessions and all the other daft things they've done, or you just think they made up the last one about the SMC refusing to host the Senior Cup final?

The SMC have not refuted yesterday's story, yet you still think it might be untrue?

More fool you.

It's short sighted pettiness IMO.

The final I went to a few years ago was a community event, as the one in N Yorks will allegedly be this year.

4 of the North Ferriby teams( U5,6,7 and 8 all got to play on the pitch at half time so a big percentage of the crowd was young kids.

A great opportunity to get young 'uns into going to the KC. As I've said Billy Heath got a bit carried away, which for me made the day even better but it really was a great event. Only time my Mum or Dad ever went to the KC.

The parents had to pay to get in and the tuck shops were open on the concourse so it would have made a few bob, maybe not enough cover costs , I don't know the answer to that.

Shame future generations of families won't get the chance, I get it's not a charity but it's once a year ffs.

Ironic that Pete Smurthwaite, who ploughs a lot of money into keeping Brid Town going and into local sports, and who lets local leagues hold their cup finals there and junior finals for free, can have his team play a final at Bramall Lane but not at the KC.

I bow to your superior knowledge of reading between lines and jumping to conclusions, usually the wrong ones.

Pete Smurthwaite who's club are in 100k of debt ?
If the ERCFA who run this competition had of paid the cost of hiring the KC for the evening/day then this thread would be unnecessary.

They used to pay the cost. Which the Allams tripled. As someone in another post said, if larger stadiums can stage these events at a reasonable cost, or no cost at all, Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Bramall Lane...why can't it be done at a community stadium?

The FA organise the FA Cup. Maybe they should pay the costs of games held there.

I thought the kc had some of the most wheelchair viewing platforms out of any stadiums?

http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39643089

From memory the KCOM has around 145 disabled spaces - about 20 short of what is classed acceptable by LPF.

Of these there are around 100 in the platform areas (8 areas in lower bowl and 2 in the upper but we'll lose them next season) and the rest pitch side.

The platform areas are only accessibly by lift. So whilst you have a better view you can spend half a day waiting for a lift.
The spaces pitch side are easily accessed but the view isn't great and in some areas can occasionally be blocked by subs warming up and fans leaving early.
Not so much a problem you might say, as you simply bend your neck round a bit to see the play but when you have limited or no movement then it can
be an issue.

It's the sort of things you notice when you attend with a disabled person.

And God knows what the SMC would do if there was an emergency evac of the stadium and the lifts were out of order. I assume they have a plan.

I think this is a bit misleading, as far as I'm aware, we never actually fill all the wheelchair spaces we've already got.

Edit: This applies only to the issue of the number of spaces, I've no idea about the toilet facilities etc,

I'm sure Allam could help sort that by arranging for a few more fans to become disabled.

Obviously that'd be OK for some people. Probably be the council's fault.

To think of all the kids and other folk who would come to watch this. It's basically a extremely cheap advertising campaign for the Allams and even promotes goodwill towards them. But no. The 'businessmen' Allams are as usually completely mind-****ed when it comes to these things.

But hey, at least 500 people got a cup of tea and pie or whatever that **** was the other day.
