Er, I think you're mixing the Smurthwaites up. Pete (the dad) follows City and Hull FC (as well as taking a keen interest in most local clubs). He's the one quoted in the paper. It's his son Brendan who, for whatever reason, supports Middlesbrough...and Hull FC.
Why is he a ****er? Is it just a coincidence that everyone who falls victim to the Allams and then speaks out about it is a ****er? Even City's best ever captain ffs. Good. I support the HCST through membership and I support local football through my grandsons, but my own drive to watch football has diminished; I know I am not alone in this. The population continues to grow yet football struggles to gain a similar growth in paying support. A well run, reasonably priced sport should be flourishing.

You are being rather silly. The KC can't play an extra game because of standards, the poor pitch having to cope with 2 teams using it etc... So, if we get relegated will we be playing the extra home games on a neutral ground?

Can't think why he wouldn't can you. I mean he can build the extension we need to make it a 40.000 capacity. Keep tickets to a tenner a go. Give back the airco. Allow local clubs to use facilities for **** all. Spend a fortune maintaining an aging stadium. Build our own training complex too, again he's got a construction company, so he can do it cheap and not take a profit. Then get called to **** when we lose a few games. What an opportunity.
Erm.....that is supporting it. Trying to stiff two amateur teams for £5k is out of order and shouldn't be happening, that's rather the point. Our neigbours the North Riding FA will have their showpiece final (Whitby v Pickering) at the Riverside, promoted by Boro, no fuss, no daft fees, just a community event, exactly as will be happening up and down the country, as it has done for decades. Assem Allam came into the club claiming he wanted to give something back to the community, he did something daft, upset a lot of people, started sulking that he didn't get his own way and has subsequently gone on to piss off as many people as possible (with the assistance of his dipshit son). He deserves every bit of the **** that's come his way as a consequence.
