What is moderation on this board?

Another thread is closed? But why?

The conversation was far less political than others that have ran and ran ...

This banning of posters, on a thread basis, is questionable.. mistakes do happen; especially when the judgement is clearly poorly considered.

We are supposed to have four moderators, but it appears to be one and a half.

Is it time to discuss moderation again?
 
In answer to your penultimate point, I stopped moderating ages ago but for some reason my status on the board was never actually changed. As far as I'm concerned I'm just a regular **** nowadays, like the rest of you.

This board has a no politics rule and that thread broke it repeatedly, to the point where only politics was being discussed.

When there's thread such as that one, we try and give a lot of leeway, but the line has to be drawn somewhere and that thread had become more about one poster, than any actual topic.

This board has four moderators listed, but only two who actually moderate, I'm more than happy for that situation to be addressed.

The posters on this board have always decided who moderates and what is and isn't acceptable, that should always be the case.

Some will piss and moan whatever is done.

Hadn't even noticed it was locked lol. It had gone way past its usefulness and as Lambo points out, it had turned into the Spook show, which tbh, noone really cares about so yeah, good decision.

The odd mistakes are made, it happens, no biggy.

The standard of moderating on here's gone up somewhat recently Id say, much more "moderate" if you like.

Keep up the good work gaylord.

I will be happy to moderate, as long as it's known that will victimise and ultimately ban pricks I don't like. Of which there are plenty.

It seems there is a consensus that Spook was the problem, not the thread topic. Why not eliminate him, as is your recent style, rather than closing a topic which might still run sensibly?

Is two moderators enough? Two who struggle to speak to each other. Perhaps it is time for the process, whatever that is, to review the situation- maybe at the end of the season? It gives posters time to consider the commitment required. The

If you are saying, which it appears you are, that I am pissing and moaning, then it would also seem that asking a straight and honest question is alien to your ethos. That's a concern in itself.

Im not sure a vote would be a good idea. Things are fine as they are.

San Diego look like ending up being called Footy McFootyface, there was Boaty, we don't need a Moddy McModface ffs.

Bottom line is, online polls etc, are responded to by cockwombles.

Can you lock this thread? Its done.
