Not sure. It's more probable that I'll reduce my use of the thread. But, as I said, nothing has to be rushed. It was thought we had four mods, so are more needed to cover hols, etc.? Time is a big consideration, as it has been said it is best to read all of the posts - I don't agree that is necessary tbh. If the board is happy with the current arrangements then so be it.
Dutch and I take our moderating duties very seriously and don't struggle to speak to each other at all, whenever there's an issue we discuss it and agree a course of action between us. Though we've obviously had differences in the past, they didn't interfere with our roles as moderators, where we very rarely disagree. The piss and moan comment was a general one, not one aimed at you, (Castro is actually king of the moaners), I just meant that however hard you try to keep everyone happy, some will still complain.
Fair enough; apologies for getting the communication bit wrong. For what it's worth I appreciate what you and Dutch do for the board. Do you believe two moderators, on a board as busy as this, is sufficient?
Does anyone want to be a mod?? If so put yourself forward. If a lot do put themself forward we'll do. A purl. Job done.
Personally, I don't think there's an issue, there's almost never a time when at least one of us isn't around (in fact, last weekend was the first time I can remember that both of us had limited internet access at the same time).
This is possibly timely. Firstly, as OLM says, what ever differences of opinion we have on various topics doesn't negatively affect moderation, if anything it compliments it, and we have absolutely no problem communicating on modding issues, and do so regularly. I've been thinking of stepping down for some time, because I don't think I'm committed enough to the board, which means that more and more falls on to OLM, which isn't fair, and is possibly not the best for the board. If people are okay with me being half hearted, I'm happy to continue as is, but it could be a good time for someone else to step up.
Half hearted would be an improvement! Oh shhhh someone else woulda put that. Seems ok at the mo tbh. Only other person I'd like to see as a mod is Omega.
I do not have much of a problem with the mods we have. OLM and DMD. We could do with one or two more. Thanks, but no thanks. I let things get too personal and the power would go to my head. In reality, I spend enough time on here as it is. The fact is that, I enjoy the board as it is. If OLM and DMD continue as they have, its fine by me. I understand Fez's reason for the OP and to a degree, he is right. It is a pity PLT is not no longer a mod, I never had a problem with him as one and it was odd that Ric stopped posting but is still listed. Maybe we could ask someone who is a mod for another forum, to help us out. Someone who isnt a Hull City supporter, but is a Moddy No Mates?
