1. Possibly (though he did say I wouldn't be waiting long).

2. He sees only one or possibly 2 similar cases every year. The removed tissue will be sent away for research as no one knows what causes it yet. He knew what he was going to do as soon as he'd checked the strength of the pulse in my foot to ensure it wasn't a circulatory issue.

3. It's not got any worse - probably a little better, if anything.
just be glad in that case sooner it's fixed the sooner we need to stop posting wheelchair / mobility scooter "jokes" every time you post

and go back to pissed up falling down the stairs jokes.<whistle>
Anyways Best of luck.

How did it get settled? Did she have a license? Was it her vehicle and she forgot to renew? I imagine it happens a lot unintentionally, driving without MOT is common too without people being aware that they're doing it. Negligence.

I was hit by an BWN X6, he didn't stop and give way to me on a roundabout even though I was lit up like a Christmas tree. He was some CEO of a chemical company, gave me his details straight away and said he'd cover everything. Ended up with a bike worth £700 more than the one I was riding through his insurance company. I had a limp for a couple of weeks but I never had the intention of an extra pay day though it. I'd like to think that I'm better than that.

She went to court and got found guilty of driving without insurance and careless driving. She pleaded not guilty !! It was her car and her excuse for not having insurance was she'd mixed it up with her sister's car or something, can't remember fully but it was probably BS and not an exemption. I think she had a license though part of me thinks maybe it was provisional, no I think she had one.

What happened was I was coming down a hill to traffic lighted junction. It was a bright sunny blue sky evening in summer. My lights were green, she was to my right and hers were red but she had overshot the lights and was edging forwards in the little bit of space before she was out in the middle. I slowed a bit, unsure what she was going to do, but she then stopped so I carried on and as I was getting to the greens she started to move off normally. At that point I was committed so she came across through the red light and straight into my path and I went right into her car up into the windscreen, left a me shaped smash in that then ate some tarmac. She was very apologetic and I think said she was late for work, she was some kind of healthcare assistant ironically. Then I got a ride to A&E in an ambulance on an orange board. I'm alright now, no lasting damage.

After that I had to go to the MIB for damages through a solicitor which took months man. My bike was written off and most of the kit I had on was ruined. I was also pretty badly cut up from breaking her windscreen when I flew into it, then sliding over the road. I also had nasty bruises and some bad back, neck and leg pain. The process was just proving to them the extent of damages to myself and bike, sending evidence like photos, medical info, quotes from bike shop for replacements, all that. Got quite a sizeable payout in the end.

****in 'ell.

Absolutely

Absolutely none of those please <yikes>

Eldest coming in tonight requiring money. About 8 months ago, she was driving on the main road near where she lives and a young Polish woman ran out from behind a bus. She was doing below 30 and slammed on, but the Pole still got bumped. My daughter pulled over and got out. The woman was OK and her friend had arrived on the scene, apologising for her mate being so stupid and running out. My daughter had dialed 999 and the coppers arrived. By now, the woman was up. The police took a statement from everyone, could see what had happened and that was that. They didn't even breathalyse my daughter.

3 months ago, she got a letter from London Victoria insurance saying the Pole had put a ****ing claim through a 'solicitor' in and whilst this was in process, she automatically lost her no-claims bonus. It's costing a ****ing fortune. She's even given a crime number to the insurance company together with a report saying she wasn't at fault and no charges were brought. They're STILL charging her through the ****ing nose and the Pole's solicitor now wants the details as well.

In summary:

Polish woman - a horrible stinking ****
Solicitor - conniving, slimey vile twat
Insurance company - immoral, unethical and corrupt, and making money off the interest from the extra money my daughter is being forced to pay them.

I can't believe this practice is legal. They didn't even consult her. They just put the monthly payment up and take it from her back account. She can't cancel it as she needs her car for work and another insurance company won't touch her whilst there's a claim in place. ****ing disgusting <grr>

Summary:. Your daughter banged a big pole and got screwed.
