I like both but:

- Clyne is so poor going forward and is awful in the air. He breaks down so many attacks.

- Matip is our best defender but he's prone to errors as well. He's been poor since coming back.

Don't get me wrong - LB and LCB should be replaced ASAP.

Mistakes hppen, a good partner and you cover each others mistakes. We can't replace everyone and Clyne is a good player.

Conceding 1.7 goals per game against the bottom 7.

This is disgusting. We will never win trophies until we sort this **** defence out.

I just don't understand because it seemed like this is a team that started to defend like a team and make us difficult to beat.

Now it's becoming the norm.

It's scary because all teams have to do is give us the ball. They can either:

- give us possession and sit deep and catch us on the counter or;

- give us possession and press our midfield. Our midfield cannot bypass a press and they bottle it and end up passing to full backs or centre backs. This then leads to errors and losing the ball.

We need more players who want the ball and don't treat it like a hot potato.
If a team try to beat us at possession, we will definitely stuff them. We pounce on them as they pass the ball in midfield. That's very few teams. Even the mancs didn't try to do that. Wenger thank goodness is the manager like Klopp who cannot play any other way.

Not angry today and don't think I will be outside of the 90 minutes for the rest of the season.

There's no point. It's clear that Klopp tried to coach this lot, they aren't good enough, they know it and they almost to a man know their days are numbered so have gone why bother. Because it can't still be arrogance or over confidence about the opposition..we haven't beat enough of them to be that way.

So Klopp gave it a go with this bunch of garbage, it didn't work ...big summer ahead. I expect a fully replaced spine of the team..in both ways lol....

And not more like for like garbage...

My opinion is that it's not Klopp, it's not plan A or plan B and it's not tactics of player ability.
It's the players attitude, they don't have the desire and don't want to work hard or raise their game against some teams.
When we play Arsenal the attitude will be different, doesn't mean we'll win but we will work hard against them.
We need players with the right attitude, players who want to work hard in every game.

We played three in midfield last night, and a three of Windy, Can and Lallana at that. If we play that against Arsenal, no matter what the 'attitude' is, we're ****ed. Windy is a good squad player, Lalla's form has improved but he's never a midfielder, and Can is Stewart with go-slower stripes. As to Flabino, we really are deluding ourselves to Harry Kewell levels if we keep judging him by his one-in-ten good performances. Matip, Mane, Ford and, maybe, Clyne, are the only players in that squad that I'd hold out any hope to return to 'form', with the rest we have to start being realistic that this is probably their equilibrium.

I agree with Jimmy that LB and a partner for Matip is a priority but that midfield needs an enforcer.

If that were the case, why do we do well against the other top 6 teams - surely they can figure us out?
If the players aren't good enough, how come they can do so well against the top teams?
It's all down to desire and attitude, imo. We started that game in second gear - if we'd fluked an early goal we'd have gone on to win probably, but when you start slowly it's really difficult to crank it up.
We started to show some attitude when 3 down - way too late.

Pride, stubbornness? Poch, wenger, guardiola have a set way and don't change no matter who they play and their style allows us to exploit them more. Ones we've struggled against are Chelsea and united who do change in those big games and go more defensively.

Quite right, I replied to Saint and it was Biscan that made the comment. Never paid attention to the poster and thought it was the same one hence the "you" <ok>

(post now corrected)

Huh? What comment.
