These are our current senior forwards: Firmino: probably our best but still a little inconsistent, he's not really best as a forward though, we're playing him out of position. Sturridge:. When fit he is completely unmotivated. When the team is dominating he can put in a good performance, needs others to create for him though otherwise he does nothing. He's too far past his peak now. Origi:. He's decent I guess, but nothing to write home and tell Mum about. Ings:. Shows promise and potential, but at this point I think he's never going to materialise. He misses so much due to injury, he's missing important years he should be training and improving. Another Sturridge . Too injury prone.
basically yes, out of 4 we have 0 good enough and thats for one position but then wide we have 2 for 2 positioning in coutinho and mane and no back up. Seriously unbalanced squad.
Disagree about Firmino. I think his best position is up top. Maybe not as a line striker though, maybe more suited to the supporting forward role; aka Zola, Bergkamp, Sheringham, etc I think we have next to no options after him. Studge isn't interested, Origi isn't good enough and Ings was never a first pick signing. All three are injury prone too.
Exactly. No keeper gets it right every time, and if they're exposed all the time then goals are going to go in. Yes, you can analyse the details and say if he'd been a foot either way he might have got it or whatever, but the keeper needs better protection than we're giving him. Mig didn't do anything horrendous, and Hart is no real improvement imo. The mistakes were playing a high line with Lucas up against pace, and - as I keep saying- a really bad attitude from the beginning of the game. This latter is the real issue for me, and anything else is secondary.
in fairness mingolet has dropped clangers but in general his performances this year have been a bit better than last year.. but the clangers have bene total clangers in prior games.
He has dropped some, and there's no doubt we could improve on him. But there aren't that many, and in between he's pulled off some fine saves. He's not consistent enough, but I just don't think Hart is anywhere near the quality we need to make a difference.
Yeah, actually getting replaced by Karius probably scared him a little into getting his act together. We've had so many weekday games this year that I haven't been able to watch as many as I would like, but the games I've been able to catch Ming's has looked solid.
Theres been bad errors but in general the 2/3 main criticisms of him have been better. the coming out (a bit) as been better. he's no worse on the ball that the haircut and the good thing is he's actually caught a few.
Hamann is only saying what some here have had the balls to say for the last few months... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ar-Hamann-says-Liverpool-one-dimensional.html
