Somehow Crewe had held Spurs to a 2-2 draw away.
We really didn't expect 13-2!
Completely different game v Gornik after the 4-2 loss in Poland.Spurs went at'em for 90 minutes and didn't let up.Result 8-1.
....and don't forget the help from the Spurs Angels.Remember them? The local vicar didn't like them,complained....and that was the end of the Spurs Angels.
Oh ye of little faith vicar!

That vicar caused such a stink later on that The Angels had to change to a Roman outfit. I remember one being called SPURTICUS!

I can still see that goal by Pohl.......

I believe the white kit had something to do with respect for Real Madrid....I think!

It's Friday.... enjoy!! (Despite the quality of the video)

That was some 2nd goal :emoticon-0148-yes:

I was at that match ... was 16. Went with a mate at the time called tony. Never seen those highlights...only seen the goals on you tube...so cheers mate

Was interesting to watch clemence passing the ball out to the full backs all the time instead of taking big goal kicks.

Remember when you could see a players legs? (Not that I'm like that!!!!) What on earth do they wear today....and why?

Thanks to this post I've just had a wonderful wallow in nostalgia. Brought tears to my eyes! Thanks for posting it PS. I still have the ticket stubs for all those games. The excitement and atmosphere for those nights has never left me.Nowadays with the extra competitions & clubs taking part they have become the norm but back then with just league & FA cup winners they were so special. I remember one of the placards the angels had said "whoever heard of dirty Lillywhites?" Brilliant... Happy days. COYS.

I'd never heard of the Spurs Angels so googled them after reading bigsmithy's post. My first Spurs match was 1967 when I was 11.

Had to change to "Romans"/"gladiators" after the local vicar complained about the name "Angels". Nasty man!

Spurs Ladies just scored 93rd minute FA cup against Blackburn.2-1 Spurs

EDIT: FT. Into the 4th round
The Ladies side seems to be having a very good season this time out.
9 wins and a draw in the league in the first 10 games, as well as winning all of their cup games so far.
I wonder if anything significant's changed there?
