If you score 13, then you'll probably win most, though!Signs of defence weakness too. If you concede 2 goals at home, you're going to come unstuck more often than not.

http://roger.blogs.exetel.com.au/index.php?/archives/459-The-Spurs-Angels.htmlSomehow Crewe had held Spurs to a 2-2 draw away.
We really didn't expect 13-2!
Completely different game v Gornik after the 4-2 loss in Poland.Spurs went at'em for 90 minutes and didn't let up.Result 8-1.
....and don't forget the help from the Spurs Angels.Remember them? The local vicar didn't like them,complained....and that was the end of the Spurs Angels.
Oh ye of little faith vicar!

Thanks to this post I've just had a wonderful wallow in nostalgia. Brought tears to my eyes! Thanks for posting it PS. I still have the ticket stubs for all those games. The excitement and atmosphere for those nights has never left me.Nowadays with the extra competitions & clubs taking part they have become the norm but back then with just league & FA cup winners they were so special. I remember one of the placards the angels had said "whoever heard of dirty Lillywhites?" Brilliant... Happy days. COYS.
Still got mine too although one of them did come up so got my 'double final' cup ticket, cost a fortune, 3/6 (15 & half p)Maggie. I've kept all my stubs, programmes and cuttings from the same period too.
