Speaking about her football, Kelley said: “My dad and uncle used to play local football, as did my brother and cousins, but not to any high level. “I train twice a week with West Ham, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, at the men’s training ground in Chadwell Heath. Our home matches are played at Aveley Football Club, near Romford, in Essex, so I have a lot of travelling every week. “We play in the FA Women’s Premier League Southern Division and won the Essex Cup last year. “We are doing well in the league this season, under new manager Julian Dicks.” Despite having played for Arsenal and now West Ham United, the name Blanchflower is forever synonymous with another London football club – Tottenham Hotspur. Kelley said: “People are always asking me whether I am related to Danny Blanchflower, but no… no relation.”
