1. We have no idea of exactly how much Livermore has gone for, and likely won't ever know.
2. It might be 9m or 10, or 12. There might be addons. See 1. above.
3. We've made money on the sale (if its one of the above, but, see 1. above) after getting our own benefits out of him, so...yeah, good work, if its true.

You're sceptical about the reported sale price as Ehab is bound to have done brilliantly really?

Squinting round a few West Brom forums and they seem okay with Livermore, but don't seem to want Snodgrass.

this is the thing that gets me with the comparison to Mason.

Unless I missed it the club never said he cost £13m. They said it was a club record. People assumed it was £13m cos Abel supposedly cost £12m. However Palermo contest it was far less than that.

The club has lied about valuations of transfers before - I know this for a fact - so Mason could've cost less than Jake is going for. Basically none of us know the true figures.

Hernandez was £9.5m.

Mason's £13m fee came from 'Sky sources', some papers just said it was over £10m.

I'm not bothered about Livermore going, he was average in my opinion and I don't think he improved since he signed. He did well at CB but he is only average
It's all about how the money is re-invested, we could be asking Jake who.
The only worrying thing is if we start selling the core of the team we started with, they know the situation the clubs in and have built up a team spirit and a fight but we could lose all that and replace them with loan signings that don't give a ****

I always thought Livermore would be gone for £12-15m, I think we've gone low, but not by a fortune.

I think it's an issue if we don't replace him, it's dangerous having no ball winner in the squad and I certainly don't think Maguire fits the bill.

Snodgrass is a different proposition completely.

There's now a whisper that we've received bids for Maguire and Hernandez as well.

Oh ****! I hate transfer windows

If we sell Hernandez or Maguire or Snoddy there was no point in employing a new manager and coaching team. Ehab might as well have let us rot with no hope.

Looking forward to tomorrow , hopefully have omar in the bag,
And see if livermores funds allow us to sign more

Interesting that were still linked with van der wiel depsite many believing omars close to being done

Agreed.

Precisely...

Having said that, Maloney has spent much of his career as a left winger, Clucas has played there plenty and (this season at least) so too has Diomande, but you'd far rather have Snoddy there than any of them.

I forgot about Maloney to be honest. He's never really made an impact for us sadly, the odd good bit here and there but he's not the player he was. That said I'd rather see Snodgrass on the right where he's best and shoehorn someone else on the left rather than weaken both flanks.

Clucas I didn't even think was good enough last season but he's doing far better in the middle.
