Hes in essence taken over a team with a failed system Madness would be to stick with it Change is needed some popular players will be sacrificed along the way to what marco believes to be best for our team I think the anti allam resentment plays a part in any uproar at any form of change
I agree, the same people who say phelan was blameless because he had a championship squad , are the same who think all our players are worth 20 million and should only be sold to Barcelona
We filled the squad alright...how many of the following do you anticipate having an impact; 1. Allan McGregor 2. Moses Odubajo 12. Dusan Kuciak 30. Daniel Batty 31. Brian Lenihan 32. Greg Luer 33. Johan Ter Horst 34. Ellis Barkworth 35. Will Mannion 36. Greg Olley 37. Josh Clackstone 38. Harvey Rodgers 39. Ben Hinchliffe
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omar_Elabdellaoui looks like we have Elabdellaoui on loan till the end of the season.
Blimey. Two ways to make the quality of a player go up exponentially in the eyes of not606 posters: 1. Place them in the reserves. 2. Sell them. Livermore is a good player. Not irreplaceable. He does need replacing though.
Most of those weren't in our 25 man squad... 30. Daniel Batty 33. Johan Ter Horst 34. Ellis Barkworth 35. Will Mannion 36. Greg Olley 37. Josh Clackstone 38. Harvey Rodgers 39. Ben Hinchliffe
Let's contrast price tags. Livermore PL midfielder sale price £10m Cairney Championship midfielder valued by Fulham at £20m We have undervalued Livermore and sold him on the cheap. I don't necessarily disagree with the sale, but £10m? By PL standards that's **** money. Full stop and no argument.
Of that lot only Kuciak, McGregor and Odubajo are in the 25 man squad list. I'm not on about shirt numbers.
Kaveh Solhekol @SkyKaveh Burnley in talks to sign winger Alex Pritchard from Norwich City. Would cost £8 million. Pray it's instead of Snodgrass.
why do people keep using the present division someone plays in as a barometer for price tag? 8 months ago Jake was in the same division as Cairney - does that mean they were valued the same then?
For what it's worth I can't see Snodgrass going anywhere unless it's a very good offer. If we were willing to let him go for anything like £10m he'd be long gone by now.
Why do people keep referring to past divisions as a barometer for price tag? Shouldn't it be the current division and current division only given those 'Championship' players got us promoted to the Premier League. Therefore becoming Premier League players at a Premier League club.
Damn you noticed...still... 1. Allan McGregor - gone 2. Moses Odubajo - out for the season 12. Dusan Kuciak - 1 keeper too many 30. Daniel Batty - no experience 31. Brian Lenihan - injured 32. Greg Luer - injured 14. Jake Livermore - nearly gone 10. Robert Snodgrass - maybe going I don't think 7 short isn't far off.
This I agree with, 10mil is quite low compared to some of the fee's you see for players that have only played Championship football!
