That's as may be. But do you think Jake would reject the move if none of that had happened? Would he ****.

So why haven't we lost players in previous seasons?

It's because players didn't want to leave back then and rightly so. Moving clubs is actually quite a big deal for a player, especially if they've been at one club for a while.

****ing hell, how often does a player ever say that, or hand in a transfer request?

It really shouldn't even be up for debate. We've been talking for months about whether Snodgrass would be off at the first opportunity and why wouldn't he? Why be dragged into the Championship by a club who are messing about trying to get by with 13 players when he can just go to West Ham?

Exactly, because quite regularly clubs deem the offer they've received too good to refuse, and then the player accepts that the club wants to sell them and takes up the offer. How often do players refuse moves after clubs accept bids? Not too often.

If Snoddy wanted to be off at the first opportunity he would hand in a transfer request like all other players gagging for a move.

What are you on about? How many times have we accepted bids for players and they've refused to go? Players are perfectly happy to leave if it's clear the club would rather pocket the money.

Maybe because we never accepted bids? Except for Shane Long of course, who did move.

Jesus you're on a roll lately.

Players hardly ever hand in transfer requests. Bummers will tell you why, probably something to do with loyalty payments or something.

Wow you really aren't reading my messaged are you!!!?? I clearly state that DIO WILL BE PROBABLY BACKUP TO THE OTHER CHOICES!. And again just to spell it out, We have plenty of midfield options and we can't bloody play them all at the same time, but unfortunately we don't have that luxury up top hence why Dio is in my squad I posted.

Who else currently gives us any bite in midfield?

And FFS don't say Meyler.

We'll need to replace Jake, so our other midfield options are largely irrelevant in this instance and Dio isn't a Premier League footballer.

You and Syd have got your FM2017 brains on here but that's not how it works in real life. Players know weeks in advance which clubs are interested in them and the clubs will know whether their targets are interested in a move. The fact that West Ham are so doggedly going after Snodgrass tells us he's pretty keen on a move. WBA wouldn't be coming after Livermore if he didn't want to move.

Of course it's to do with loyalty payments, that's got nothing to do with what we're talking about though. You're saying these players desperately want out and are jumping up and down at us accepting a bid for Livermore - who hasn't even agreed personal terms yet - as a sign that the Allams are nasty bosses and all our players now want out of the club. You're twisting yourself in knots about something rather strange.

No we've got our brains switched on, something I'd advise you do too. Club accepts fee for player, player travels to discuss terms. That's how football bloody works. It's not some strange condition that has been invented to get away from the Allams.

West Ham are doggedly after half the players in the league, it tells us nothing other than they want to unsettle Snoddy.

I fully expect us to get a replacement in by the close of the transfer window.

That bite you talk about has served us well this season hasn't it??

Dio not been a premier league player I totally agree on. But as for replacing Jake I really don't think we need to, we have more then enough cover and if MS want's to play the style of attacking football he did against Bournemouth then a midfield 3 of Hudd, Mason either Clucas or Evandro will do me

Really not sure why you're so determined to paint it as the players wanting out when none of them have spoken about wanting to leave, nor have they handed in transfer requests.
Didn't Snodgrass express some disgruntlement when the Allams were able to extend his contract without his say-so?
