Don't think I saw anything, but since he was after a long term deal, a 12 month extension probably didn't tickle his feathers. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...er-transfer-request-Claudio-Ranieri-West-Brom http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/article/2017/01/06/fonte-hands-transfer-request-southampton http://sports.yahoo.com/news/noble-angry-disappointed-payet-024601044.html https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...er-a-lack-of-first-team-football-this-season/ These fellas have all handed in transfer requests in the last few weeks and they don't play for the nasty Allams, so our boys must be ok with the state of things.
It wasn't without his say-so. He signed a contract which included the option. Every player will have signed it knowing the extension would be excercised if they gave a half decent contribution.
But nothing like that type of player course he needs replacing. A bit of bite and drive from somebody is necessary.
Exactly!! Nobody on here when the transfer window opened stated we needed another central/attacking midfielder yet we signed Evandro. And now we sell a player who lets face it, apart from this season hasn't exactly set the world alight, everyone loses there mind. We didn't need a central midfielder before the window opened and we still bloody don't
These days if players want a move they often find a way to engineer it without putting in a transfer request.
Again I will say, that bite and drive has done real well for us this season! Jesus next you will be wanting us to sign Lee Cattermole to give us some bite
Now hes just a little t@@t bit of a daft thing to sa...... we don't have another midfielder that knows how to tackle that is the problem stick a leg out yes tackle no.
Hasn't he travelled in order to complete the deal? Generally players agree terms and complete a medical at the same time.
Just joking (should have put a smilie), I thought you might have needed him to do a bit of DIY or something.
We started our last away game with two midfielders playing centre half. Jake was one of them. We currently have 3 centre halves who all returned from injury last week. One having to play out of position at right back. Jake's versatility means he should be the last midfielder we're looking to shift. The meagre size of the squad should have determined that bringing players in prior to selling them was the priority. Unfortunately Ehab is a ****puffin.
All of our players clearly know how to tackle. We just don't need to replace him, people seem to miss the fact that he never played at Man Utd and we was fine, he also never played the majority of the game against Bournemouth and yet we were fine. I just don't think he will be missed in the long run.
I disagree Ben. And if jakes sale enables us to bring in specialist players for those positions then it has to be considered good business? We need a right back and a winger more than anything.
