So is there an appetite for new Hull City banners, to be funded by City fans and displayed in the stadium on matchdays? Should the funding be sought just on this board, or across the whole City online world? Should the message simply be the club name, or are other supportive messages in order?

All views welcomed please, we can act the suggestions and get something moving in a week or so's time.

For what my opinion is worth I think it's a good idea and should be open to all fans and not restricted to this board. I also think messages beyond just the club's name should be considered.

Any with our name on and/or our proper badge will be fine.

It can't be long before the flag nazis clamp down on this type of thing like they have done at CFC, MUFC, Wembley and the like.
Must conform to max dimensions specified, must have anti- inflammatory certification, must have anodyne slogan etc
Welcome to North Korea.
Of course, min wage flag wavers are exempt, and are positioned at strategic points waving large inflammable new regime flags at times of excitement.

What about some CoC ones?

It's a shame that City is in such a ****ed up place while the rest of the city is enjoying its time in the limelight and coming across well. I remember James Mooney saying two years ago we were gonna have a CoC third kit etc etc. He was probably told that in fairness but no one believed it even back then.

Anyway, yeah, it'd be good to do a bit of promoting or celebrating of the CoC status at City ourselves since the club won't do it.

What about:

Hull 2017
CoC
with a picture of Assem or Ehab underneath

Maybe part of the backing pattern could look a bit like a K?

I hope there is an appetite. For me anything with the club name, supporting the team and a public show of support for John Oxley.

City 'til I die
HCFC
Hull City
Hull City AFC
Hull City FU Allam
etc
etc

Funnily enough I was wondering about that earlier
As they're on minimum wage (if that) you could probably easily slip them enough £ for them to swap the flag for an unofficial one with the clubs name on it!

I'm not really bothered what's on the banners as long as it has Hull City somewhere.

If we raise enough money I'd like to see them in the closed part of the Upper West. It would take someone up there to be responsible for putting them out and collecting them after the game. It would also need the permission of the club. As the flags would be supporting our escape from relegation they'd look a bit petty if we were refused.

Where's that large banner with the Tiger's head, we used to put across all the empty seats in the North Stand, back in our lower league days, gone?
