I finish this Friday until 28th, suits me as we don't do much at New Year. At our age traipsing around trying to gate crash a party is not the done thing!

One of the scientists he head hunts explained to him about how snow is really just a form of water, one of the main ingredients in Carling.

I had my arse probed under general anaesthetic yesterday, so I'm off sick for the rest of this week, booked leave next week, and back in on lates on New Year's Day. Sweet!

And I've just crapped a full Christmas log before, so everything's good for the holidays!

Just before Xmas last year I went to the Doc's and whilst I was there he asked me if I had ever had a prostate check. I said no so he stuck his finger in and after as he was taking his glove off he said "That's fine you can go now, Happy Xmas"

I replied " a card would have done". He gave me the "Doctor stare" and did not even crack a smile.

I'm currently skipping out on IT Xmas lunch. Snuck off with Wife instead... Hope noone notices. <laugh>

It's a pot luck dinner they have each year. I went the first couple of years and was ok... But very prayer-ry. Each department head gets up and tells everyone how wonderful they are and then gets everyone to prey. I hate the American obsession with group public prayers so I avoid the Xmas lunch every year now. Public prayer always seems creepy to me.

Had a nice Indian with the Mrs. Instead.<ok>

Skipping our groups get together Monday too. It's a "star of Bethlehem" presentation at the museum. Nice of manager to offer to buy everyone tickets (she's a great boss) but I really don't want to do anything religiousy. Especially not as a group.

I hate how some people try to make Xmas into something religious.:bandit:
