who's that?
Corbyn? no i think his antics in the referendum drop the mask. he's no principles other than he's right. he actively sabotaged the campaign... then said the polar opposite to his belief albeit half heatedly..
Basically after than nobody could believe a word out of his mouth.
But in the context of being able to make the exact same criticism against Boris, who's on the verge of being PM.
Cameron told Corbyn to go because it made it more difficult to then resign. If Cameron actually cared about the country he would have called for Boris to be expelled from the Conservative party for blatantly lying.
edit: Boris out
Boris got played by Gove big style. If you haven't already read the leaked email written by his vile Mail columnist wife to a friend have a look
We knew already but it's all coming out now what the Leave campaign was really all about for the Tory politicians at its forefront, a power-play, and then Farage was just the mutant smaller second head that sprouted for a month or two and got excised and dumped in a medical hazard bin after the result
At least May was Remain but she'll have to and definitely will retract that in her leadership campaign. All of which will be fought on a platform of 'making the best of it' now that their cronies are on the brink of bringing us out and of 'uniting the party and country in the national economic and societal interest'. I say on the brink as we still are a member of the EU of course. So i really find it hard to gain any satisfaction in Boris getting done over since the ground has already been prepared by him and others for the next leader and future PM to sow it with their seeds of Thatcherite, hateful, regressive impotence

Nope - he's [HASHTAG]#bottledit[/HASHTAG]
As for Corbyn, what a clown.
170 of his MP's have voted to bin him off, he's been laughed at in the Commons and the opposition leaders have told him to have some ****ing dignity.
But he's clinging to the fact that the 'rank and file' still want him (which is debateable in itself) but totally irrelevant to his situation as a supposed 'Leader' of the opposition.
He has zero credibility now, his own MP's have no faith in him, so how could he ever be a credible candidate for PM with the broader electorate?
His protracted and quite frankly embarrassing demise sums up his entire tenure imo. A decent bloke, who appealed to the traditional Labour voter, but who was never going to win over the hearts and minds of the voters he needed to actually win an election, due to his left wing background. He proved his leadership skills were awful during the referendum and his own team have lynched him, so just **** off Jeremy
Agree about Boris equivocal Euro position and his ambition.Key phrase -" Murdoch and Dacre don't trust him (Boris)". I know some people on here think I'm a paranoid nut who sees Murdoch everywhere, but he rules all aspects of our lives far more than Brussels ever did or do. My theory - Boris never thought he'd win and is a Europhile (his dad said as much during the campaign), but expected a close race, Cameron to stand down a year early, and he'd be the unifying candidate appeasing the Eurosceptics and taking credit for the European rules on immigration and free movement being reformed (as they now will). He looked utterly stunned last Friday - 'What the **** do I do now?'.
Now, back in Feb when he came out for Leave he did fly the kite that if a Leave win vote was tight, he'd regard it as a firm bargaining position for staying in for the long run. He was slapped down and changed what he was saying, but...
What if Boris has flown that kite privately during the weekend and, importantly, Murdoch and Dacre (themselves stunned but happy with the Leave vote), get behind Richard III against Edward IV? Murdoch The Kingmaker?
I don't like May -she's to the right of Cameron - but rather her than Goveadder. Especially as there's no Labour Party nowadays...![]()
David Cameron was kind to the labour party about the statement "It is the interest of conservative party for Corbyn to stay on as labour party leaderIt seems the tories feel they have no opponents and own the country.
David Cameron was kind to the labour party about the statement "It is the interest of conservative party for Corbyn to stay on as labour party leader
but not in the interest of the country". He spelled it out, but Corbyn was not listening!.
Michael Gove running for PM terrifies me! I think I'd rather Boris!
