Right now I'd put every one of the useless bastards in a leaky boat and push it out to sea. I wouldn't want to have to put my name to any of them.
I'm sorry but the lib dems clealry have said remain as their campaign.... so there cannot be a lib dem tory coalition if required after any election. So... I would see it like this. Lib dems are hammered by snp. SNP will be still very strong in scotland I think. Labour could lose 35% of its vote according to some poll... Like where will it go then? If an election is called the only way a remain vote can prevent brexit is to oust the conservatives and the only way to do that is by voting.
in other news today the markets are bouncing round but it seems to be the ever lessening ripples of a fat man (boris) who jumped into the pond. The BOE governer is expected to announce a rate cut. the FSTE was down then rebounded this morning so its all steady.
May currently the favourite. Boris third after being stabbed by Gove: " Boris is not able to lead the party and does not have qualities to be prime minister."
interesting. that seems to be more harsh than i'd expect. I think Osbourne might either be the king maker or king breaker here. if he declares for a candidate it'll be interesting
To the establishment, Corbyn is dangerous and they want him out of the picture. They don't want him gaining more public support so their corporate media are hounding him at every available opportunity. As for the Blairite ****s in the Labour party trying to shift him, they should be ashamed of themselves
Boris Johnson, announcing he will not stand as Conservative leader says: "Having consulted colleagues and in view of the circumstances of Parliament I have concluded that person cannot be me." So his mates have told him he's a useless buffoon as well. This must be hurting. Anyway, good - that's one of my Exit fears allayed. Only 279 to go now.
May is Thacherite and mosyt likely to win and beat Jeremy Corbyn in any GeneraL Election which Tories are going to like. "Boris Johnson killed the prime minister and killed him ".
Boris got played by Gove big style. If you haven't already read the leaked email written by his vile Mail columnist wife to a friend have a look We knew already but it's all coming out now what the Leave campaign was really all about for the Tory politicians at its forefront, a power-play, and then Farage was just the mutant smaller second head that sprouted for a month or two and got excised and dumped in a medical hazard bin after the result At least May was Remain but she'll have to and definitely will retract that in her leadership campaign. All of which will be fought on a platform of 'making the best of it' now that their cronies are on the brink of bringing us out and of 'uniting the party and country in the national economic and societal interest'. I say on the brink as we still are a member of the EU of course. So i really find it hard to gain any satisfaction in Boris getting done over since the ground has already been prepared by him and others for the next leader and future PM to sow it with their seeds of Thatcherite, hateful, regressive impotence
I'm happy for Boris to be done over because he's an opportunist who went against his own beliefs and put all of us into a situation he didn't actually want in order to further his own career. If that career move then backfires then he deserves it completely. It doesn't mean I'm any happier about who'll take his place, I've said many times I see echoes* of Thatcherism in the way we're going. *Can you see echoes? Anyway - you know what I mean.
I wouldn't say Boris has been done over. Taking the leadership at this time is a poisoned chalice - I think he is merely biding his time. He comes across as a moron but he is clever.
So other than the obvious "none of the above" lol which of May or Gove would you rather have as Tory Leader aka Prime Minister. May has pledged to continue with Brexit, refuse an early GE. She has also stepped back both from Osborne's emergency budget and his surplus by 2020 plans. Not much on Gove pledges yet but reading even the media that dislikes what he stands for they all say he's a calm polite and very intelligent man..would this be an advantage in EU negotiations? If May wins and a female candidate wins a Labour leadership election; Mitos GoT analogy might be even more accurate than we think lol...
