Yes, very true. In 3 months we'll be stuck with whoever (could be anyone at this rate). But surely after that we'd need an election.
Basically this whole process is going to take so much work to get going. Not quite sure people thought it through properly as they assumed we'd remain!
I blame the knuckle dragging Mackems.
We don't unless osbourne forces an austerity budget and is defeated in the commons. I would assume that right now theres a huge power battle about to happen and boris the mad bastard will want to just borrow massive sums to get by rather than deal with the reality.
the FTSE has preprogrammed trades this morning dropping the index by 9%. its trading back up a bit.. as of now its 259 points down. this is 3rd worst fall in the FSTE. 1987 was the worst at 12% or more. this was worse than 2008.... we need that perspective.
however in 2008 there were several shcoks of big size in a row that really caused the damage. I think we need to reflect on this as a bad day and see what happens next. We might be able to sustain that one drop but if we see on going shocks as the market reacts to news as it comes thats going to hurt badly.
). But surely after that we'd need an election.
