So you can't hold a 'little Englander' standpoint on this issue if you're a non-white Brit?

Huh? I never said that. It's just one of those ridiculous misconceptions that the media and some idiots latch on to.

A new day would dawn, luv. There'd be free beer and burgers for everyone and endless re-runs of Friends so nobody has to actually think about what's happening in the world and can leave it to Boris to look after us all.

If we leave it'll be like going back to the 70's, the economy will crash and everyone will talk in a northern accent and work in a mine.

<laugh> I''l leave you to it guys. Peace and love and all that. Let's hope all the home countries do well.

But isn't it interesting what the leader of the In campaign had to say before he got a dose of lyingthroughhisteeth? Think on this before you vote.

If Britain leaves the union, and decides to rejoin in future years, they face a very taugh condition for re-admission

Lol it is funny because either way he's lying. He's gone on to directly contradict every part of that speech. So he either lied in that one or has lied ever since....

He really has been the Remain camps biggest liability.

He'll have his finger on the button of a £120bn nuclear missile system, and God help us if the US ever let him press it.

I think The EU would have more to worry about. They don't like the UK but they know being the 5th biggest economy in the world wether right or wrong leaving we have the best chance outside of Germany to survive and eventually either recover or do well.

If that happens other members might just be tempted. They don't want us to leave not because they like us but they can't afford a Brexit success story. Even if it starts bad and takes years of recovery people have short memories. In ten years time if the UK is doing OK while they've continued to stumble around with high unemployment and social unrest ....well.

All conjecture of course but the drivers inside the EU don't want that risk...

You have to apply the context in fairness. The Sky ticker tape headline gives you a clue like....

He was trying to negotiate the best terms for the UK with the EU, so had to hold the threat of leaving to be real, and sound as if it'd all be grand should we take the nuclear option

He was bullshitting the EU with that speech and playing his hand.

That said, it's thanks to this pillock that we're facing the vote at all, given he bricked it about the rise of UKIP and wanted to burst their balloon in case it split the Tory vote at the GE. The massive twat.

Tobes..on the narrow point of Cameron..do you honestly believe the guy went in to really negotiate? He was adamant we were staying and arrogant enough to believe just giving the referendum would undercut the sceptics support in his own party outside parliament.

The rest of the EU leadership knew this too. And you're talking about a body that has never taken no as a final answer..Refendum said no? Sure have another one until it says yes.

People aren't that smart..including leaders they'll keep expecting the same results until they are slapped in the face and it doesn't happen.

Whether right or wrong this lot aren't any different. I genuinely don't think Cameron and the rest of the EU leaders thought it would ever be this close...

Apart from the woolly threat to leave, what else did he have in his armoury during that negotiation then?

I've no idea what they thought the outcome would be, but they were idiots if they ever thought it'd be a landslide 'stay' vote particularly given that they majored on immigration and benefits abuses as part of the GE campaign.
