The Cameron- Farage debate. It is interesting that the press analysis of the debate and who came across better or was more persuasive is so dependent on their own original views about Brexit. The commentators in the Daily Telegraph and the Daily Mail all gave Nigel Farage as the clear winner. They praised his peformance and criticised Cameron's as quite poor. Yet the Guardian's and the Independent's commentators thought that in the main Cameron came across as slightly more persuasive than Farage, who seemed uncomfortable when grilled about his attitude to immigrants. Everyone watched exactly the same debate and yet even on something like that the papers cannot bring themselves to provide a modicum of objectivity.
I suppose who does better in a debate is largely subjective anyway though - unless someone makes a complete tit of themselves.
Yep. Of course. But you would have thought as suppsoed commentators/analysts they would look at the big picture rather than narrowly through their own biased eyes.
Farage has a sugar coated mouth despite the fact that he did not go to University. Cameron an Oxford graduate cannot match him. However Farage is a bloody lair.
Forlorn hope, mate. The whole debate is like our legal system - each side just trying to win rather than actually getting to the truth.
I note that the city twats have voted with thier money. 65 BILLION flowed out of britain http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...sh-economy-amid-fears-of-brexit-a7069786.html thats in guys moving off the pound, guys moving money out of banks... generally saying **** this... thats greece proportions.. They are reported to have signed up private companies to do exit polls to see how early they can either collapse the uk economy and make a killing or move money back in to make a killing. serious **** guys. If you have any thought that leave is happening your pension better be locked down safe in cash.
Speculation is going to make the £sterling all time low. Dollar and Euro are going to be stronger if Britain leaves Euro Union. BIG BIG BANG !. You have seen nothing yet !.
The oil is going up anyway cos the opec block have been bankrupting US frackers with the low oil and US is running low on stocks... $50 a barrel. If the pound weakens we could see high petrol/energy prices.
You may not be that lucky because Scotland rules near the oil. If they voted in, and the rest of UK voted out, they may like to break away.
could take a while to sort that one out. .............................. It is funny right now england wales and northern ireland are IN but scotland are OUT. mind you after the group phase only wales might still be in..
Yep. said that all along. The Mail was positively creaming themselves about a week ago when the pound started slidindgafter the Brexit surge in the polls. I said then - checez les hedge funds.
BTW, my pension saving fund shot up by £3k over the weekend. Go Brexit..... Seriously, I'm in a final salary scheme, but after what happened to the steelworkers I know that's not safe, An economic crash ****s the whole shebang - but it's good for the spivs. In this, and the crash of the registration site last night, I sense the hand of Murdoch. Go on, laugh, but we'll find out in decades, when it's too late, just how much the five families that run the right-wing press and rule this country, have had in this whole farrago. And I suspect Cameron's in on it too.
Keep on praying that your pension fund has not been compromised. Remember him?. please log in to view this image
Perfect Example of a ludicrous distortion of the truth. Cameron repeated response to adopting an immigration system like Australia's "Australia let's in twice as many people as the UK!" WTF how is that remotely relevant??? I'm assuming those proposing a similar points based system are doing so in an attempt to have total control of who is let in and under what parameters...so if Australia is letting in twice as many as us then it's because they want or need to! The better argument against adopting would be it's too expensive to operate. It's against basic human rights if copied literally. But No Cameron yet again stoops to using the far right immigration fear used by some outers "Use this and more dusky people get in and move in next door!!!!" Insane.
