Can't remember the first album I bought myself, but the first one bought for me was one of the Hits/Now albums that I seem to remember having 'Ya Mo Be There' on it for some reason
I know where you are...Across from Wetherspoon's ? I always thought the abbatoir was further along? Remember the guy well. Him and his son. The old fellow always checked the quality of the Vinal like he was on the antique roadshow. Had good chats with his son whilst we went through the punk/new wave box. Remember coming across the Pork Dukes , telephone masterbater single. Son said “ don’t let my dad see that one…

That’s what we used to do for entertainment before x box and Sky tvWe used to compete to go in and ask him for the most bizarre records we could think of. A favourite being Heads Down, No Nonsense, Mindless Boogie by Alberto y Lost Trios Paranoias. He got wise to us after a while and just used to answer 'it's deleted' to whatever we asked him for.
Was that the sound it made hitting the wall after you came to your senses? That’s an absolute banger!

This thread affirms that music was much better in the 70's. Everything else is a cheap imitation.
