The very last thing we need is some disruptive idiotic Billy Bigbollix ruining the team spirit.

I'd imagine Defoe would be horrified if a ball greedy attention seeker, like Balotelli, was brought into the team.

His off the field stupidity might amuse some people but I just think he's infantile.

It is 5m euros that is being reported as the fee, about 4m pound. I'd pay 10m regardless of his contract situation.

If we are paying 5m pounds then we are **** at negotiating because the price doesn't seem to have changed.

I know what you are saying and in principal I agree, but, there is a player in there, can a manager get him going, what a wasted talent

A today's prices the cost is not excessive. We have him from the season's start, but if we had waited until January that is four months wasted and maybe more to get him fit and up to match speed for the back half to the season.

Like I said earlier regards a fee, (back to mvila) if he was on a free he would be screaming for a signing on fee. We could have played hard ball but missed out on him.

Please get over the line quickly, if waiting already 2 months is quickly

Some players mate are just worth paying for regardless of their own contract situation. Class player and on a 4 year contract. No brainer.

Definitely when you look at what some teams are paying for average players.

Scary, if the fee is only 4-5m. sure it will turn a few heads unless we have the rights to buy due to the loan deal.

It's a good deal at £5m but there's obviously more to it.

They know you need him now so they didn't budge lower than £5m, if you didn't need him right away you'd have put a pre-contract agreement in their owner's face and said 'check mate'.

He's obviously had issues in his contract to settle with Kazan, they've probably tried to farm him out to other teams and you've said something like '1st of August is your deadline, if you don't shake our hands by then we're signing him on a pre-contract agreement'.

If £5m is the fee, he's already paid that back with what he did last season.

I think it's as simple as him wanting to only join Sunderland mate, he's had a **** few years at different clubs and looks settled in England, at Sunderland, maybe he's learned his lesson.

If Wijnaldum is worth £25m then Yann M'Vila at £5m or euros is the absolute bargain of the century.

If he had 2 years on his contract and we signed him for £20m everyone would be buzzing.

Please God we don't screw it up and miss out now!

Exactly, in modern football 5 mil for someone of M'Vila's quality is pocket change. If we'd refused to pay that amount of money for a next level 26 year old who already has loyalty to the club then we are dickheads.

I think in simple terms the question is 'is Yann M'Vila worth £5million'.

I don't even need to say any more do I?

Hopefully, it does seem that a few of the players that do come to Sunderland actually buy into the place.
To some footballers its not all about money.

    Feeling very positive right now.

The way I see out squad even before we see new personnel, providing that we nail Kirchoff...and keep Kone sweet, we potentially have a team spine smattered with leaders, possible captains.

We are gonna be strong this year guys !

    I agree.

As I said yesterday we have a team in place that lost 1 in last 11 and actually could ha e won 5 or 6 extra games in the last 20.

Come seasons end we'd turned it and we're getting results, I wasn't expecting anything less than a point from any game.

We do need extra through but this is already a tidy and balanced squad, lacking first 11 wise only a RB and CAM, but with Lens like a new signing if he gets his head on and N'Zogbia a good left sided option we aren't miles off.

    I don't have any fears.
