Reminds me of those sad people in the Falklands War …

… ‘We really suffered during that conflict, some nights we were watching the attacks on Sky news til 5 o’clock in the morning!’
Being a sad person I can't help myself, I have to point out that it wasn't possible to watch Sky news during the Falklands conflict of 1982.

The first satelite broadcaster in Europe was Satellite Television Ltd (known on-screen as Super Channel Europe). This began public broadcasts in 1982. It didn't have a UK broadcast license and was only available in mainland Europe (Norway, Finland, Malta, Switzerland & West Germany).

STL was broadcast from the European Space Agency's low power Orbital Test Satellite, so it needed a very expensive three metre dish to receive the signal, and was only available via cable channels.

In January 1984 Swindon became the first UK cable area to receive the STL/Super Channel Europe satellite TV broadcasts - although to coincide with this launch they were brought together as a single entity called Sky Channel.

I'll get my coat...

It was just a daft made up joke tbh, not meant as a factual recollection of an actual event ...

... it was meant to point out how some people manage to convince themselves they're actually fighting the good fight.

In reality they're just watching the telly.

One of my all time favorite pieces of music is from Roger Waters the cd is called "amused to death" - it's really worth listening to

If Trump was a British Prime Minister, how many of his actions over the years would have resulted in a forced resignation? Dozens! Imagine if Starmer tweeted a celebratory statement concerning the death of someone like Farage? His feet wouldnt touch the ground!

I'd imagine a British PM would struggle to shrug off an encounter with the prostitute, Stormy Daniels, after the birth of their youngest son. Trump just pays her off ...

... this is just one of a multitude of shallow and despicable acts he either denies or makes a joke about.

If that's the kind of man the US admires I'm truly sorry for them.

This can't be right, Trump said he has destroyed all of Iran's missile capabilities.

Wouldn't believe a think Israel say anyway.

Well Iran must have something capable and available to reach the Chago's Islands , namely Diego Garcia, which is situated midway between the last two contour lines in the image... Or amerringue?

Conspiracy wise, don't be surprised if a few Russian missiles have been transported to Iran.

I'm pretty sure we were linked with him in the January transfer window ...

... could be wrong like.

Trump desperately looking for an off-ramp in Iran. He was sold a pup by Netanyahu who said the regime would fall if they were attacked. $200b later, the regime look as strong as ever while the markets have gone into panic mode. Bravo Donald.

Netanyahu led the Orange Turd by his nose ring into this cul-de-sac, supported by the Jewish lobby in the States.

Although, I doubt Netanyshu has the kompromat Putin has over the Clockwork Orange.

Trump has thrown Hesgarth under the bus. Other people's fault that the world and energy prices are totally ****ed at the minute

Speaking Monday at a conference in Tennessee, Trump said: 'I called a lot of our great people... and I said, "Let's talk. We got a problem in the Middle East. We have a country known as Iran that, for 47 years, has been just a purveyor of terror, and they're close to a nuclear weapon."'

Turning to Hegseth who was sitting to his right, Trump added: 'And Pete, I think you were the first one to speak up. And you said, “Let’s do it, because you can’t let them have a nuclear weapon."'

The defense secretary forced an awkward smile as the US President continued discussing ongoing talks with Iran, claiming they had 'started last night'.

He’s buying time. The marines are on their way. They’ll end up with boots on the ground in Iran.

He also knows that his popularity is waning at home.
Anounce that Iran want a deal just as the stockmarlket opens (which Iran deny) and give a 5 day window which will coincide with when the markets close.

Guy is a charlatan
