It's called war against a murderous regime.
You reap what you sow.
49 years of a Racist dictatorship causing thousands of deaths around the globe all in the name of a false prophet the religion of peace my arse.
The Iranians should not be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon and of course their regime is vile.

However, killing 150 people thousands of miles from the war zone was completely unnecessary and only stirs up hatred.

How can this be possible, if anyone can explain please do ... I'm lost with all this now.

The US and Israel are currently fighting a joint war against Iran.

The area Israel just attacked is a major part of the world's natural gas fields. It would be insane to significantly damage, or destroy, this area and would further affect economies around the world as well as handing Putin more cards to play with.

Yet the President of the United States shrugs and says he knows nothing about Israel's strikes.

This is absolute insanity if partners, in a war, don't know what the other country is doing ...

... Trump is certainly no Winston Churchill.

I think its starting to dawn on him that this may not have been the correct thing to do. He'll never admit that of course.

The UK has joined European allies and Japan in saying they were ready “to contribute to appropriate efforts to ensure safe passage through the strait of Hormuz”.

In a joint statement, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Japan condemned Iran’s attacks on commercial vessels and oil and gas facilities in the Gulf, while expressing “deep concern” over the escalating conflict.

The statement said:
We condemn in the strongest terms recent attacks by Iran on unarmed commercial vessels in the Gulf, attacks on civilian infrastructure including oil and gas installations, and the de facto closure of the strait of Hormuz by Iranian forces.

We express our deep concern about the escalating conflict. We call on Iran to cease immediately its threats, laying of mines, drone and missile attacks and other attempts to block the strait to commercial shipping, and to comply with UN Security Council Resolution 2817.
It continued:
We express our readiness to contribute to appropriate efforts to ensure safe passage through the strait. We welcome the commitment of nations who are engaging in preparatory planning.

We welcome the International Energy Agency decision to authorise a coordinated release of strategic petroleum reserves. We will take other steps to stabilise energy markets, including working with certain producing nations to increase output.

We will also work to provide support for the most affected nations, including through the United Nations and the IFIs (International Financial Institutions).

Getting rid of Trump would be fine, but having this man stepping in could be worse.
That’s the very frightening scenario.

How have the US with 350m people ended up with those two? Right wing populism does not work. We are in dangerous times.

Looks like he has resigned because he’s under investigation himself and he knew it.

Not saying he’s wrong in what he said but he’s another wrongun over there.

Its war remember the belgrano.
During WW2 a German battle ship was chased all the way to Buenos Aires why because it was the enemy.
The hatred for the west from an evil regime is already in play try saying naughty jihadists stop attacking the west or we'll beat you with a wet lettuce you naughty naughty jihadis the sensible people in Iran want the regime taken down.

i agree to a point. However, they could have instructed it to go to the nearest port and stay there. 150 needless deaths and the jingoistic tone wasn’t good. We should be above these ‘naughty jihadists’ and these type of actions just increases the hatred and fuels future conflicts.

I fully agree Iran should never have a nuclear weapon but given Trumps supposed Christian ethos (an act imho) it certainly wasn’t a very Christian act to kill those people thousands of miles from the conflict.

I think we all know he's right either way, i’d never heard of him until this though. It feels like Israel and USA think blowing the ****e our of people and places will bring peace. It'll make more enemies of course. Iran is a tricky one, it’s been problematic, but we aren’t there to protect women and Israel have also made many enemies. This will create another long period of instability.

Yeah, the whole world will suffer because of what Israel, the US and Iran are doing.

I’m glad Starmer is keeping us out of it so far. I feel this has been a long time coming with Iran. They’re just as responsible for all this, nobody should just pretend they haven’t caused a reign of terror right across the Middle East. No sympathy for them.

I just hope we continue to keep out of it unless we are attacked ourselves.

Best case scenario right now looks like a world recession, worst case is a World War with Russia and China involved.
Surely the Republican party can see they are led by a mad man who needs to stopped. They have this in their beloved constitution the 25th amendment states if its clear the President is unfit to discharge his duties he can be removed. They must do this soon. In my 68 years i've never seen the world on such a precipice

I mentioned, the other day, how hilarious people find the likes of Boris, Farage, Trump.

This just shows how witless their 'banter' really is.

Joking about 3,000 US servicemen, and their families, dying at Pearl Harbor is sickening ...

... the 'joke' should be etched on his tombstone when he dies, the sooner the better in my opinion.
