US army official says more funding needed to support needs of both Israel and Ukraine
A US army official says more funding will be needed to support the needs of both Israel and Ukraine simultaneously.
Army Secretary Christine Wormuth said Congress will need to approve additional funding to ensure the Pentagon's munitions production and acquisition plans can potentially meet the demands of both countries.
"One thing that is really important in terms of the munitions in particular and our ability to support both potentially the Israelis and the Ukrainians simultaneously is additional funding from Congress to be able to increase our capacity, in terms of our capacity to expand production and then to also pay for the munitions themselves," she told reporters at an army event.
"We need additional support from Congress. So I hope we'll see that soon."

I’m no doubt not informed properly but it seems ironic that the Jews were forced into ghettos in Europe in the last century and went on to do exactly the same to Palestinians in Israel/Palestine.
I haven’t got a clue who is right or wrong in this conflict. I do feel really sorry for the ordinary Palestinians and Israeli’s though.
Simon Reeves on Palestine is a really good watch, opens your eyes a bit. I hear people are are saying now they don’t know why the Palestinians are attacking for they will only make it worse. Honestly I don’t think you could make their life any worse and that is what they believe as well.
It was always a dog's dinner of a solution going right back to 46. Maybe the Allies should have seen the level of religious nuttery on both sides and thought again, but it's different times I suppose.
The issue is that neither side wants a solution that benefits the other. It's total victory or nothing and it's never changed. It makes Ireland look like a piece of piss to sort out.
It's a completely different mindset over there too. They're just not like us so it's hard to understand either side - the hyper aggression of Israel and the Hamas insistence on poking the bear and the inevitable consequences for normal people.
