It’s like watching Cold War footage. The russians had 12000 battle tanks and enough fuel to get them into downtown Moscow and no further. Super power my arse. Nothing has changed by all accounts. Next time they fly a few bear bombers down the channel we should scramble the typhoons and shoot the ****ers down. The Russians will do **** all, toothless spent Cold War sabre rattling non entities. Nothing more. Bet their nukes are as **** as their tanks only good at squashing old blokes in Dacias.
Strangely was watching a you tube where a Ukrainian civvy is taking the piss as one of their armoured vehicles had ran out of fuel. Seriously? Talk about making yourself a sitting target

Russia and in particular Putin won’t come out of this well, the people of Ukraine won’t bow down even if Kyiv falls, this will go on for years. And the rest of the world hates them now more than ever plus they’ve shown everyone their armed force is pretty **** compared to the billy big bollocks they spout.
**** you Russia, fûck right off into oblivion.

We should make a move and take this ****er out. The footage I've seen of the Russians makes them look like dad's army.

Really?! Russia is, relatively speaking, absolutely minted. European countries pay them billions for their gas. Germany gets 65% of it's gas from Russia, for example. I'm not certain, but I suspect Russia probably prioritises spending on their nuclear deterrent. I hope, whoever is trusted with planning for that possibility, doesn't assume that they needn't worry, cos the bombs 'might' not work!
They're not that minted tbf mate, they currently rank 11th in the world behind likes America, Germany, France, Italy, Canada of course the UK. All NATO countries.

The majority of their nukes are most likely from the Cold War era with massively outdated tech and will have been thrown together even then so most likely, as pointed out, unreliable. And the likelihood of maintaining them even worse.

Honestly, Russia isn't all that and are already being made to look 2nd rate by Ukraine. The UK and US service our nuclear warheads constantly and upgrade them as appropriate. I know this because I went to Kirtland Air Force Base several times when I was in the RAF to move recently 'serviceable' warheads to storage and servicing and bring recently serviced ones back.

I honestly think Putin would **** his knickers if the UK and US declared war on Russia. Having numbers is one thing, but having first class technology to go with it is another thing entirely in today's modern warfare.

They can’t get their normal ordnance to work properly, all I see is unexploded crap everywhere and Ukraine’s troops tidying it away by hand, it looks more and more like the Russians have spent the last 30 years doing nothing to upgrade their equipment. Minted oligarchs doesn’t equal world leading military tech. They are like the North Koreans and Chinese - full of **** talking about what they will do to the west and blah blah blah! Let’s see how they fare against the Molotov cocktails being put together by the people of Kiev today. I must say the Russians have been poor so far. Big gains in terms of distance covered but having their arses handed to them by Ukraine in many areas. Once they are fighting civilians their losses will be much higher, every flat, every balcony, every window a possible vantage point for a bloke with a gun to pick you off. It will be a nightmare for them.

Exactly well said!

They are really showing themselves up and it’s only going to get worse. Putin will be looking more and more unhinged in his mental interviews. Hopefully he will start shooting his generals and then himself.

How bloody naive. Do you honestly think all these millions and billions of dollars/ pounds/ euros are going into Russian coffers? Putin gave away all the nationalised industries to his mates, and they take all the money that comes in, and he gets his percentage of everything. Why do you think there's so many Russian oligarchs running around the world? There's no money in Russia at all, that's why the average man in the street is still in poverty, Putin and his mates have bled the country dry, and trickled just enough money into the military etc to make them appear to be a legitimate world power. Except they're just about to be exposed for what they are by almost every other country in the world! Minted??? Are you for real?

Excellent, can’t do any harm to the cause. Hopefully once all this is over we will continue to cut them out make them pay for a generation so they never think of doing this again.
Crazy little report on Sky News just there. An oldish fella who makes aluminium window frames signing up to the Ukraine army and also a female bank manager who has 2 young daughters signing up as well; she has only fired a weapon on a firing range but she is "a quick learner". Civilians outside the recruitment place making Molotov cocktails. Absolutely mental.

Yeah I saw the Molotov cocktail work earlier on absolutely brilliant to see them doing this. The Russians will not have expected this level of resolve. I think they may come completely unstuck the longer this goes on, I must say I didn’t expect it either, thought the Russians would roll them over in a few weeks to be honest. Now I am not so sure. Arming folk is excellent too makes them feel involved and in control of their own destiny. Nothing appears to be off the table with the Ukraine response to the Russians.

It's amazing how a nation can come together in times like this. Absolutely outstanding stuff and great to hear. Can't beat a bit of patriotism!

Do Russia have any other strategy than rocking up and hoping Ukraine surrenders? No apparent strikes on command and control, they haven't cut Ukrainian communications, their air force is flying (haway the Ghost Of Kyiv), and resistance is still stiff. Compare with how the allies dealt with the first phase in Iraq. Airfields hit, C and C hit, Stealth bombers used, wallop. Everything set up for boots on the ground.
Not going well is it Vlad?

Wow, 10 days and they are ****ed. There is no way that Zelensky is leaving (tweet 6) he will be on the front line fighting until the end.
It would be unbelievable if the Ukraine slap these ****ers all over on their own (I know the West has helped with equipment and things) but if they send them packing despite being outnumbered so heavily it would be incredible.

And if they do, then Putin should be hunted down and hauled to the Hague and the sanctions should stay in place.
