Put it this way. Id never thought id see the day when theres a war between USA and Iran and find myself hoping Iran gives USA (Trump) a bloody nose. I would love to see regime change but would get a guilty pleasure if things go pear shaped for Trump and his cronies. As long as we stay out of it of course.

Trump will only go to war with countries who can't pose a direct threat to America.

Bombing countries, on the other side of Europe, requires no courage whatsoever.

There are zero consequences for Trump, with this war ...

... he can leave another smouldering pile of rubble and just walk away.

He won't even stop to look back and see how the Iranian people are doing.

I don't understand the prices going up so soon, other than greedy profiteering.

I filled my car with diesel on Monday as it was nearly empty and paid £1.44 a litre. A couple of days later and diesel is around £1.55-£1.60+ a litre. That's probably diesel that was refined and distributed before the events this week, so why has the price on the pump shot up?
They absolutley take us for mugs. It's ''weeks/months worth of stocks of higher cost oil to use up first'' before new cheap oil gets used---- but when it's like it is now, the effect is immediate. Government won't stop this profiteering because they are benefitting from the extra VAT. ( Rachel from accounts said in the House the other day that she wouldn't allow profiteering . Yeah,we won't hold breath)

Rachel from accounts is soooo funny.

The real enemy here is Trump not this government. See Trump is helping his mate out, Vlad must have warned he is getting the videos out.

If anyone hasn’t seen it, there’s a movie called Team America:World Police.

Made in the style of Thunderbirds and must be over 20 years old now, but it’s spot on about the Americans. They go in, destroy everything and leave a trail of destruction behind them. Way ahead of it’s time.

Americans have seen countless wars without ever having suffered bombs dropping on them.

So, especially now, they see war like a computer game where only the baddies are zapped.

If it all goes wrong they can just press 'reset' and start again.

Incidentally I see Trump has decided Iran shouldn't participate in the World Cup ...

... I wonder who he'll decide to hand their place to.

Normally made by people who could never ever get into such a responsible position.
Agree mate. A working class lass who gets a first from the country’s top university. I can understand the establishment making patronising and misogynistic comments but for some working class people to parrot their line demonstrates their ignorance

Well he is the holder of the Fifa World Peace award after all, therefore King of the World Cup.

Bloke as an absolute moron, I always compare him to Putin but now think he's actually worse. Putin isn't afraid to pick a fight with someone who can directly fight back. I think Trump idolises him a bit.

Agreed. Iran are actually managing to fight back and possibly surprising Trump a bit. They can't hit the US directly but they are going for oil infrastructure / straits of Hormuz to cause economic damage and put pressure on Trump. There is now a time pressure on the war.
