I dont think the fans would turn if they could see good football if we were looking positive and less negative then poyet wouldnt be under so much pressure. It's the fact we look poor and dont look like we want to win games that goes against him and the fact he blames everyone but himself. I think he will walk soon anyway doesn't like the deserved criticism.

He made a very poor decision in preferring to play Gomez in place of Alvarez , Bridcutt was our only midfield player that turned up first half, the other three AJ, Lars and Gom lost the ball time and again and I cant remember any of them winning it back, in those first 45 mins, we were overrun in midfield and had a mountain to climb second half. With our bunch of eternal sick notes Gus had little choice in fairness to him but he should have seen the danger after 20 minutes and sorted it out quickly, he didnt or couldnt, the midfield that played last night, with only Bridcutt in the DM role is the worst in the Premier League and if he plays them in this formation much longer I fear the worst. The saddest thing about it is he cant see what he is doing wrong, and puts his own miss-interpretation, on what the believes the majority of fans want, as an excuse for his own mistakes, and that is the biggest worry of all .

I'm not sure people would be as quick to turn on someone like McLaren as some are suggesting.

Go for someone like the Bournemouth manager, someone who plays attacking football.

It's ****ing simple up here pal, play with passion and play have ago footy then the fans will stay with you. Lots of home games this season have been worst than O'Neill games.

He had no money at Burnley tho. Wouldn't have McLaren like.

Poyet is doing and saying a lot of things that I find baffling but I'm still fully behind him (not like that).

When we have Catts back and preferably Brown with O'Shea at CB I think we have a very decent side. Wickham and Defoe will score goals.

I'm as disappointed as anyone at yesterday and Poyet can stick his comments about the fans up his backside, but I believe he's a good manager who is still learning and making mistakes and will do well for us in the long run. I don't want him out, not at all.

Aitor Karanka's the boy at the minute, plus he's in bed with Mourinho so you'd have first dibs on any Chelsea loans.

Boro are gonna be a good side I reckon if they manage to make the cut, top as it stands.

Looking at the fixtures as a guide, Boro have by far the worst run in, Derby the best. Howe's stock goes through the roof if he comes out on top after the season.

I must admit I`m starting to lose patience but I`m not at the sack him stage yet.

What I don`t like is the `I don`t know what`s wrong` stuff. It`s his job to know and to fix it. Beginning to sound defeatist and imo that`s entirely the wrong message.

Agreed Vince but when he comes out with `I can`t fix it because I don`t know what`s wrong`, what are we supposed to think? `So get someone in who does know what`s wrong and can fix it` is bound to be the natural reaction.

Took the Italy jib mate, don't think it's realistic.

It simply has to be McClaren if Gus were to go, there is no other contender.

As mentioned Eddie Howe has done great at Bournemouth, but he failed out of his comfort zone. He's been very nicely backed financially own there for the level as well, I'd have massive concerns.

I struggle to think of anyone else who'd either a) be attainable or b) improve the club.

It's gotta be McClaren, he is in a great position at Derby, and Derby is a smashing club with good fans, but I think he'd find it difficult to turn us down, he's never been afraid to take a chance.

If hes not doing the job get rid hes been in charge over a year now, 3 transfer windows. And as already stated he admits he doesn't know wot to do. Worrying if thats the case. We have some really good players who he doesn't play too many changes also
