Russia brands Boris Johnson's Putin-Hitler comparison 'disgusting'

Russia has hit out at Boris Johnson likening Vladimir Putin to Adolf Hitler, calling it "utterly disgusting" and "unacceptable".
The Foreign Secretary suggested the Russian President will "glory" in this summer's World Cup in a similar way to the German dictator during the 1936 Olympics in Berlin.
Mr Johnson told a committee of MPs it was "an emetic prospect" to think of Mr Putin "glorying in this sporting event", as he agreed it would be comparable to the Olympics held in Nazi Germany.
"I think the comparison with 1936 is certainly right," Mr Johnson said.

a patriotic labour MP agrees to make the statement so boris can agree.

Bojo strikes me as a bit like a British Trump. I'd say the major diffence is he seems to have a sense of humour. I'd never accuse Trump of having a sense of humour.

I read as a female search & rescue told a story about how while approaching a man trapped in a car crash he asked if he could have a man rescue him. She then made a throw away statement about how all you men came from women remember or words to that effect. We all see the point of her story.

They're not Nazis but Trump has been playing from Hitler's play book. He uses similar strategies and techniques to achieve his goals.
Control how people communicate. Take a little bit at a time from weaker neighbours knowing the big guys don't really have stomach for a real fight. Pick a common enemy to persecute and blame (gays and Jews). Put on a big show to say look how good we are. Execute rivals...If you're not with me you're a traitor... Etc.
