World cup thread.

Well 5 hours to go. Pleasant breakfast on the prom with my MIL, step daughter and Axel the golden lab. But here it is going to be a scorcher. Says 27C on the forecast but it is already that at 10am :emoticon-0157-sun:

So might stay at home for the game. After all there are another two matches after this for England :emoticon-0130-devil;) But sadly my wife has no interest, my MIL doesn't seem to understand what it is all about, and my step daughter will support Sweden as several of her Spanish friends work there. That leaves only Axel the dog I can convert to an 'Engerland' supporter.

I've already been told I cannot paint a red cross on his blond coat. Spoil sports, just because Spain are out :emoticon-0111-blush

The wait goes on. I'll try and resist a beer until 1pm. But not easy <cheers>

Brian it would be easiest to use a vpn. I use ExpressVPN (if you want a month only it costs 13 dollars) but there are many options (many free) that will get you to a UK based server.

I'm in Spain and I know there are attempts to block certain links across the Atlantic but I have no trouble with: http://ilivestream.com or http://cricfree.org They usually offer about 13 links per match and it is a matter of working through them. Some have US commentary, others English, others Spanish, etc. But you need to try them near the kick off. The streams often have the NBA, American soccer, and/or ice hockey before the match so clearly are being transmitted in the US. And you see Americans on the chat.

Interesting over the last month the problem of pop-up ads appearing every 5 mins over these streams has gone away and I quite often get a clear 90 minute run. Of courrse when you start up a link you still have to kill the ads before you start. Some of it porn, the rest gambling, so I keep that out of sight of any kids.

Hope that helps. But shout at the time and I will for sure post the direct stream url once I'm connected. And if you wait for the second half you'll miss the Raheem hat-trick ;)

The more Kane pulls off defenders Raheem gets more chances. Hope Henderson keeps a head on it. Don't want any yellows let alone rouge.
